2017–18 Saudi Pro League
The 2018–19 Saudi Pro League. was the 43th edition of the top-tier Saudi football league, established in 1974, and the 10th edition since it was rebranded as the Saudi Pro League in 2008, the season started on 10 August 2017 and concluded on 12 April 2018. Al-Hilal were the defending champions after winning the Pro League last season for the 14th time. Al-Fayha and Ohod have entered as the promoted teams from the 2016–17 Saudi First Division. Al-Hilal were crowned as league winners for the second season in a row on the 12 April, after defeating Al-Fateh 4–1 on the final day of the season. No teams were relegated at the end of the season following the decision to increase the number of teams from 14 to 16. Saudi Pro League
The Saudi Pro League (SPL), also known as the Roshn Saudi League (RSL) for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Saudi Arabia and the highest level of the Saudi football league system. The SPL is regarded as the premier football league in Asia, having the highest ranking among AFC club competitions. The origins of the Saudi top division league trace back to the establishment of the His Majesty's League in 1956, which lasted until 1974. 2008–09 Saudi Pro League
The 2008–09 Saudi Professional League was the 33rd season of Saudi Pro League since its establishment in 1976 and first after rebranding to the Saudi Pro League. Al-Hilal were the defending champions, having won their 11th title in the previous season. The campaign began on 13 September 2008 and ended on 12 April 2009. A total of 12 teams contested the league, 10 of which already contested in the 2007–08 season, and two of which were promoted from the First Division. On 12 April 2009, in the final round of the season, Al-Ittihad won the title after a 2–1 victory over Al-Hilal. It was their eighth league title overall. Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli and Al-Shabab all secured a berth for the 2010 AFC Champions League, while Al-Nassr and Al-Ettifaq qualified for the Gulf Club Champions Cup. Al-Tai Football Club () is a professional football club based in the city of Ha'il, in north-western Saudi Arabia, that plays in the Saudi First Division League, the second tier of Saudi football. Wej Sports Club () is a Saudi Arabian professional football club based in Al Hawiyah, Ta'if, that competes in the Saudi Second Division, third tier of the Saudi Arabian football league system, formed in 1976. Al-Fayha Club () is a professional football club based in Al-Majma'ah, that plays in the Saudi Pro League, the first tier of Saudi football. Al-Fayha's colors are orange and blue, hence the nickname "Al-Burtuqali." Al-Fayha have won the Saudi Second Division once in the 2013–14 season and have finished runners-up once in the 2003–04. Al Taawoun FC () is a professional multi-sports club based in Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. The football team competes in the Saudi Pro League, the top tier of Saudi Football. Al-Qadsiah () is a Saudi Arabian professional football club that competes in the Saudi Pro League. The team is based in the eastern city of Khobar and their home ground is the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium. Vuk Rašović (Serbian Cyrillic: Вук Рашовић; born 3 January 1973) is a Serbian football manager and former player who played as a defender. He is the currently head coach of UAE Pro League club Kalba FC. Playing career Rašović started to play for the youth teams of FK Partizan. He played professionally, initially, with FK Rad and Bulgarian Slavia Sofia. Then he returned to FK Partizan where he played from 1998 to 2002. In 2002, he moved to Krylia Sovetov of Russia, where he played between 2002 and 2003. In 2004, he signed with the American MLS team Kansas City Wizards but only played in one game for them during the 2004 season. He retired after the year as a result of suffering an injury.
