2017–18 Armenian Cup
The 2017–18 Armenian Cup was the 27th season of the football knockout competition in Armenia. The winners of the cup this season earned a place in the 2018–19 Europa League and would begin play in the first qualifying round. Shirak won the cup final in the previous season and were the defending champions. The tournament began on 13 September 2017 with the quarter-final round, which was contested by the six Premier League clubs and two clubs from the First League. Format The Armenian Football Cup this season was contested over three rounds. The quarter-final and semi-final rounds were played over two legs, and the final was a single match to determine the cup winner. FC Gandzasar Kapan
FC Gandzasar Kapan is an Armenian football club based in the town of Kapan, Syunik Province. The team plays in Armenian Premier League. The club headquarters are located on 18 Garegin Nzhdeh street, Kapan. The Gandzasar Kapan Training Centre is located at the eastern outskirts of the town of Kapan. Alex Junior Christian (born 5 December 1993) is a Haitian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for West Armenia and the Haiti national team. Club career Alex Christian began his career with Haitian Premier League Side Violette. After a few years with Violette, he moved overseas and joined American semi-pro side Ironbound SC. After a few games with Ironbound, he earned a move to Portugal and was signed by Vila Real. Banants Stadium
Urartu Stadium () is an all-seater football stadium in the Malatia-Sebastia District of Yerevan, Armenia. The stadium is home to Urartu FC and has a capacity of 4,860 seats. It was known as Banants Stadium until 1 August 2019, when it was officially renamed Urartu Stadium. Overview Urartu Stadium is located within the sports complex of Urartu Training Centre, occupying the southern part of the complex. The construction of the stadium was launched in 2006 with the assistance of the FIFA Goal Programme. It was officially opened in 2008 with a capacity of 3,600 seats. Further developments were implemented later in 2011, when the playing pitch was modernized and the capacity of the stadium was increased up to 4,860 seats; 2,760 at the northern stand, 1,500 at the southern stand and 600 at the western stand. Petros Avetisyan (; born 7 January 1996) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Alashkert. Club career Banants Born in Yerevan, Avetisyan started his career at Malatia football school that later was renamed as FC Banants. After progressing through the club's youth system, he became top scorer of Banants-2 in Armenian First league in 2014–15 season and moved to the first team of the club. Rumyan Hovsepyan (, born 13 November 1991) is an Armenian football player who plays for Alashkert. Hovsepyan is also a member of the Armenia national football team. Football Club Pyunik (), commonly known as Pyunik (), is an Armenian professional sports club based in the Kentron neighbourhood of Yerevan. Gyumri

Gyumri City Stadium () is an all-seater football stadium in Gyumri, Armenia. It is currently the home venue of the Armenian Premier League club FC Shirak of Gyumri. The current capacity of the stadium is 4,000 seats. History The stadium was built and opened in 1924 to become the first stadium in the modern history of Armenia.
