2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held between 3 and 5 March 2017 at the Kombank Arena in Belgrade, Serbia. This was the second time this event was held in the city after the 1969 European Indoor Games, 1969 edition then known as the European Indoor Games, and the first time in more than 30 years that the competition was held in Eastern Europe. The three-day competition featured 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events and took place over two morning and three afternoon sessions. The decision of Belgrade as the host-city was announced on 4 May 2014 in Frankfurt am Main, beating bids from Istanbul and Polish city Toruń. The host nation's leading athlete was Ivana Španović, who returned to defend her European indoor title in the long jump. White Lion is an American glam metal band that was formed in New York City in 1983 by Danish vocalist Mike Tramp and American guitarist Vito Bratta. Adam Kszczot
Adam Piotr Kszczot (pronounced ; born 2 September 1989) is a retired Polish middle-distance runner who specialised in the 800 metres. His achievements include silver medals at the 2015 and 2017 World Championships in Athletics, gold at the 2018 World Indoor Championships as well as silver and bronze at the 2014 and 2010 World Indoor Championships respectively. Kszczot won three gold medals in the 800 m at both the European Outdoor and Indoor Championships. He twice competed at the Olympic Games, in 2012 and 2016, narrowly missing the final on both occasions. Kszczot was the 800 m bronze medallist at the 2007 European Under-20 Championships. Liemarvin Bonevacia (born 5 April 1989) is a Dutch sprinter specialising in the 400 metres. Pavel Maslák (, born 21 February 1991) is a Czech sprinter who specialises in the 200 metres and 400 metres. He is the only athlete in history who has won the 400 m title at the World Indoor Championships at three consecutive championships. Ján Volko (born 2 November 1996) is a Slovak sprinter. He competed in the 60 metres at the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships. Career Volko started racing in the club BK HNT N Bratislava and also hosted in the club AK Olomouc in the Czech athletics extra league. He has been racing for the club Naša atletika since 2019. On 4 March 2017, Volko won a silver medal in the 60 meters at the 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships, setting a new record with a time of 6.58 seconds and becoming the first Slovak representative to reach the final.
