2016–17 Segona Divisió
The 2016–17 Segona Divisió, also known as the Lliga Biosphere, was the 18th season of second-tier football in Andorra. This season began on 25 September 2016 and ended on 21 May 2017. Format For this season, the league was contested between ten clubs. The clubs played each other twice totaling 18 matches each. The leaders at this point were to be promoted to the Primera Divisió next season with the second placed club to participate in a play-off match for a place in next season's Primera Divisió. The four "B" teams cannot be promoted. After the regular season a play-off round between the non-B clubs began. Each club will play the others once with the regular season records being carried over. Segona Divisió
The Segona Divisió (Second Division), or Lliga UNIDA for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest level of men's football in Andorra. Former FC Santa Coloma reserve team were renamed UE Santa Coloma for 2007–08 (therefore eligible for promotion) and finally gained access to the Primera Divisió after finishing top place. Penya Encarnada d'Andorra are the current holders, having won the 2021–22 title and earning promotion to the Primera Divisió. FC Lusitanos, also known as Lusitans, was an Andorran football club from Andorra la Vella which was founded in 1999 and currently play in Segona Divisió. Lusitanos won their first Primera Divisió title in 2011–12 and its second national championship the following season. The club's name, crest and kit reflect its Portuguese identity. 2017 Copa Constitució
The 2017 Copa Constitució was the 25th version of the national football knockout tournament involving teams from Andorra. The cup began on 7 February 2017 and ended on 28 May 2017 with the final. Format Similar to the previous year, the Copa Constitució was a single elimination tournament between 12 teams. There were eight teams from the Primera Divisió and four from the Segona Divisió. The winner, UE Santa Coloma, earned a place in the Europa League. Schedule First round Eight teams competed in the first round. The matches were played on 7–15 February 2017. 2016–17 Primera Divisió
The 2016–17 Primera Divisió or Lliga Grup Becier, was the 22nd season of top-tier football in Andorra. The season began on 18 September 2016 and concluded on 21 May 2017; this was followed by the two-legged relegation play-off on 28 and 31 May 2017. The defending champions were FC Santa Coloma, who won their tenth championship in the previous season. Teams Clubs and locations Competition format The participating teams first played a round-robin schedule containing three rounds with every team playing each opponent at least once "home" and once "away" for a total of 21 matches ("home" and "away" designation is symbolic as all teams except Encamp, which has its own stadium, play at several venues). The 2017–18 Primera Divisió, also known as Lliga Multisegur Assegurances, was the 23rd season of top-tier football in Andorra. The season began on 17 September 2017 and ended on 20 May 2018. The defending champions are FC Santa Coloma having won their eleventh championship the previous season. The winner of the league this season will earn a place in the preliminary round of the 2018–19 Champions League, and the second-placed club will earn a place in the preliminary round of the 2018–19 Europa League. Unió Esportiva Santa Coloma, also known as UE Santa Coloma, is a football club from Andorra based in the village of Santa Coloma, Andorra la Vella. The club currently plays in Primera Divisió. History UE Santa Coloma was founded on 23 September 1986 in the village of Santa Coloma. In 1996 the club established a football academy to give a qualitative leap in the field of sports in the country. During few seasons the club acted as farm team for many Andorran teams including FC Santa Coloma. FC Santa Coloma is an Andorran football team based in the village of Santa Coloma, in the parish of Andorra la Vella. The club currently plays in Primera Divisió, and is its current champion and most successful team with thirteen titles. It is also the most successful team in the Copa Constitució, winning it ten times. FC Rànger's
FC Rànger's is an Andorran football club based in Andorra la Vella. The team currently plays in Segona Divisió. History The club was founded in 1981, but they only started playing in Andorran leagues in 1999. FC Rànger's aren't associated with Glasgow Rangers. After two years in the Andorran Second Division, they played for the first time in the Campionat de Lliga in the 2001–02 season. After the promotion, FC Rànger's started a growing career, and after finishing second in 2005, they won the league title the two subsequent years, 2006 and 2007. FC Rànger's made their first time appearance in European competitions, playing the UEFA Intertoto Cup in the summer of 2005, being eliminated by Sturm Graz by 6–1 in aggregate. Inter Club d'Escaldes is an Andorran football club based in Escaldes-Engordany. The club currently plays in Primera Divisió.
