The 2016 season is Rosenborg's 26th consecutive year in Tippeligaen, their 49th season in the top flight of Norwegian football and second season with Kåre Ingebrigtsen as permanent manager. They will participate in Tippeligaen, the Cup and the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League, entering at the Second qualifying round stage. Rosenborg BK
Rosenborg Ballklub, commonly referred to simply as Rosenborg () or RBK, is a Norwegian professional association football, football club from Trondheim that plays in Eliteserien (football), Eliteserien. The club has won a record 26 league titles, a shared record 12 Norwegian Football Cup titles and have played more UEFA matches than any other Norwegian team. RBK play their home games at the all-seater Lerkendal Stadion which has a capacity of 21,421. The club was founded as Odd in 1917 but were not allowed to play amateur league matches until 1928, when they took the present name. Tippeligaen
Eliteserien () is a Norwegian professional league for association football clubs. At the top of the Norwegian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. Seasons run from March to November with each team playing 30 matches (playing each other home and away). Most games are played on Sunday evenings. Eliteserien was founded in 1937 as Norgesserien (English: ''The League of Norway''), and the first season was the 1937–38 season. The structure and name of Eliteserien, along with Norway's other football leagues, has undergone frequent changes. Elbasan "Elba" Rashani (born 9 May 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Ligue 1 club Clermont. Born in Sweden, he plays for the Kosovo national team. Johan Lædre Bjørdal (born 5 May 1986) is a former Norwegian footballer who plays as a centre back. Career Bjørdal was born in Egersund and began his career with his hometown club, Egersund IK, in 2003, but was signed up by Viking FK. He went on loan to FK Tønsberg in the 2005 season, having played just one game for Viking, and returned with eight games experience. Bjørdal remained at Viking for one more season, but did not play any more games, and was signed by FK Bodø/Glimt for the 2007 season. There, he played 26 games in his first season, scoring one goal. Alexander Lund Hansen (born 6 October 1982) is a Norwegian former footballer. Career He came to Rosenborg from local team Nardo in 2001. In parts of 2004 and 2005 he was on loan to Fredrikstad, where he played 19 matches. He played in six matches for Rosenborg in the Royal League in late 2006, where Rosenborg only got one point. He made his league debut for Rosenborg against Viking in the 1–0 win 23 July 2008. On 13 November 2009, he signed a contract with Danish Odense, and joined the squad on 1 January 2010. Yann-Erik Randa Bahezre de Lanlay (born 14 May 1992) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a winger for Viking in Eliteserien. Anders Ågnes Konradsen (born 18 July 1990) is a Norwegian former professional footballer. He has previously played for the Norwegian clubs Bodø/Glimt, Strømsgodset and Rosenborg, and the French club Rennes. Mike Lindemann Jensen (; born 19 February 1988) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Danish 1st Division club HB Køge. He has also been capped by Denmark.
