Matthías Vilhjálmsson
Matthías Vilhjálmsson (born 30 January 1987) is an Icelandic international footballer who plays as a striker for the Úrvalsdeild club Víkingur. He can as well play as a midfielder. He also played for the Icelandic national football team from 2009 to 2016. Matthías, also known as ''Matti Vill'', has previously played for the Icelandic clubs BÍ and FH, the English club Colchester United and the Norwegian club Start. Career Early career Matthías was born in Reykjavík and grew up in Ísafjörður where he played with BÍ until he was 17 years old. He moved to Hafnarfjörður in 2004 to play with FH where he enjoyed early success with the youth teams of FH, winning the cup in 2004 and also the double in 2005, which is the only group in the club who have won the double. Ísafjörður (pronounced , meaning ''ice fjord'', literally ''fjord of ices'') is a town in the northwest of Iceland. Eliteserien () is a professional association football league in Norway and the highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. The 2012 1. divisjon (referred to as Adeccoligaen for sponsorship reasons) was a Norwegian second-tier football season. The season began on 9 April 2012 and ended on 11 November 2012. The Norwegian First Division, also called 1. divisjon () and OBOS-ligaen (due to sponsoring ties with :no:OBOS, OBOS), is the second-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. David Mooney (born 30 October 1984) is an Irish footballer who has played for several clubs in Ireland and the United Kingdom. As of 2019, he was playing as a striker for Leinster Senior League side Lucan United. Club career Shamrock Rovers Mooney joined Shamrock Rovers, his first senior club, in 2000, while he was a pupil in Coláiste Éanna, in Dublin. He scored in every round when Rovers' won the U17 All Ireland title against Kingdom Boys in 2002. Mooney made his first team debut coming on as a sub against Longford Town on 6 April 2004. Heimir Guðjónsson (born 3 April 1969) is an Icelandic football manager and a former player. As a player, he was deployed in midfield and represented the Iceland national team. As a manager, he won the Icelandic championship five times with Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar. Playing career Heimir played his first senior game as a member of Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur in 1986.
