2016 BC Lions Season
The 2016 CFL season, 2016 BC Lions season was the 59th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 63rd overall. The Lions finished in second place in the Canadian Football League West Division, West Division and finished with a 12–6 record. It was only the third time in franchise history that the Lions had finished in second place, and the first time they have done so since 1986 BC Lions season, 1986. In each of those three years, the Lions hosted and defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West Semi-Final. This was the team's second stint under now tenth-year head coach, Wally Buono, and his 14th season as the general manager. Canadian Football League West Division
The West Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), its counterpart being the East Division. With a few exceptions, a senior men's football championship has been contested in Western Canada since 1911, and with a few additional exceptions the Western champion has played the Eastern champion for the Grey Cup. Although its teams have been members of the CFL since 1958, the then-Western Football Conference remained a distinct legal entity until 1981. The five teams in the West Division are the BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Elks, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Travis Lulay
Travis Lulay (born September 27, 1983) is a former professional Canadian football quarterback. Lulay played ten seasons for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 2009 to 2018. In his first season as a full-time starter, Lulay won the CFL's Most Outstanding Player Award in 2011 and was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2011 Grey Cup. Joshua Lutrail Johnson (born September 10, 1989) is an American former professional football cornerback. He played college football at Purdue University. Early life Johnson attended Pasco High School in Dade City, Florida. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Alex Hoffman-Ellis (born August 14, 1989) is an American former professional football linebacker. After playing college football for the Washington State Cougars, he was signed in 2012 by the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent.
