Andrew Harris (Canadian Football)
Andrew Harris (born April 24, 1987) is a Canadian former professional Canadian football, football running back and is the running backs coach for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Harris is a four-time Grey Cup champion, two-time winner of the Dick Suderman Trophy, Grey Cup Most Valuable Canadian and one-time Grey Cup Most Valuable Player, as well as a five-time CFL All-Star and a six-time CFL West All-Star. He played for the BC Lions for six seasons before joining the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2016 as a free agent, where he was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian Award, 2017 Most Outstanding Canadian after leading the league in rushing and setting the record for single-season receptions by a running back. Dick Suderman Trophy
The Dick Suderman Trophy () for the Grey Cup's Most Valuable Canadian is awarded annually to the Canadian player deemed to have the best performance in the Grey Cup game, the championship of the Canadian Football League. This award is presented before the Grey Cup trophy is presented. The winner does not necessarily have to play for the Grey Cup winning team in order to qualify. The award was introduced at the 1971 Grey Cup, and the first winner was Dick Suderman, a Canadian defensive end. A year later, just six weeks before the playing of the 1972 Grey Cup, Suderman collapsed and died from a brain hemorrhage after playing a regular season game; the trophy was subsequently renamed in his honour. The Eastman Raiders Football Club are a Canadian Youth Football Club located in Steinbach, Manitoba. The team participates in leagues organized by the Manitoba Minor Football Association of which the club is a member. Yards from scrimmage is a gridiron football statistical measure. In the game of football, progress is measured by advancing the football towards the opposing team's goal line. Progress can be made during play by the offensive team by advancing the ball from the point of progress at the start of play known as the line of scrimmage.
