2015–16 SEHA League
The 2015–16 season is the fifth season of the SEHA (South East Handball Association) League and second under the sponsorship of the Russian oil and gas company Gazprom. Ten teams from seven countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia and Belarus) will participate in this year's competition. MVM Veszprém are the defending champions. The SEHA League consists of two phases – the first has 18 rounds in which all teams play one home and one away game against each other. After that the four best ranked clubs play the Final Four. The campaign began on 1 September 2015 with the match between the defending champions Veszprém and last year's runner-up Meshkov Brest. The regular season will end on 13 March 2016, while the Final Four tournament will be held in Varaždin from 1 to 3 April 2016. Momir Ilić
Momir Ilić (; born 22 December 1981) is a Serbian former handball player. He became the first player in the history of the EHF Champions League to score over 100 goals in three consecutive seasons. Currently he is the head coach of Telekom Veszprém. He was included in the European Handball Federation Hall of Fame in 2023. Club career After spending two seasons with Fidelinka, Ilić would go on to play for Gorenje Velenje (2004–2006), VfL Gummersbach (2006–2009), THW Kiel (2009–2013), and Telekom Veszprém (2013–2019). He won two EHF Champions League titles with THW Kiel in 2010 and 2012. International career At international level, Ilić represented Serbia and Montenegro at the 2006 European Championship. He would later play for Serbia in seven major tournaments, winning the silver medal at the 2012 European Championship. Varaždin ( or ; , also known by #Name, alternative names) is a city in Northern Croatia, north-east of Zagreb. The total population is 46,946, with 38,839 in the city settlement itself (2011). Skopje
Skopje ( , ; ; , sq-definite, Shkupi) is the capital and largest city of North Macedonia. It lies in the northern part of the country, in the Skopje Basin, Skopje Valley along the Vardar River, and is the political, economic, and cultural center of the country. Veszprém Aréna
Veszprém Aréna is an indoor sports and events hall in Veszprém, Hungary. It is the home ground of the top-class handball club Veszprém KC, Telekom Veszprém KC, that regularly host the best teams of Europe. The city has a first division women's handball club as well, which played in the Veszprém Aréna until 2011; but thanks to its field dimensions, the arena is able to host any sort of sporting or cultural events, such as basketball or volleyball matches, martial arts shows, concerts, exhibitions and conferences. It also has a separated lounge, that is capable alone to organize smaller events, be it a party night or a wedding. Veszprém
Veszprém (; , , , ) is one of the oldest urban areas in Hungary, and a city with county rights. It lies approximately north of the Lake Balaton. It is the administrative center of the county of the same name. Našice
Našice (; , sr-Cyrl, Нашице, , ) is a town in eastern Croatia, located on the northern slopes of the Krndija mountain in eastern Slavonia, 51 km southwest of regional hub Osijek. Administratively it belongs to Osijek-Baranja County. Geography Našice is located on the D2 state road Varaždin–Virovitica–Našice–Osijek and the Varaždin–Dalj railway. Rukometni klub Nexe Našice (), commonly referred to as RK Nexe Našice or simply Nexe, is a professional handball club from Našice, Croatia. Currently, RK Nexe competes in the Premijer liga and Croatian Handball Cup as well in the SEHA League and in the EHF European League. The Arena Zagreb is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Zagreb, Croatia.
