2015–16 Lebanese Premier League
The 2015–16 Lebanese Premier League is the 55th season of top-tier football in Lebanon. A total of twelve teams are competing in the league, with Al Ahed the defending champions. Teams Tadamon Sour and Al Akhaa Al Ahli were relegated to the second level of Lebanese football after ending the 2014–15 season in the bottom two places. They were replaced by Hekmeh FC and Al Egtmaaey Tripoli who won promotion from the second tier. Safa Beirut SC
Safa Sporting Club () is a football club based in Wata El Msaytbeh, a district of Beirut, Lebanon. Competing in the , the club was founded in 1939 and have since won three league titles, three domestic cups, one Super Cup, and two Elite Cups. Safa also finished runners-up in the 2008 AFC Cup. Safa is primarily supported by the Druze community, and maintains a strong fanbase throughout Mount Lebanon. Salam Zgharta
Salam Zgharta Football Club (), known as Salam Zgharta or simply Salam, is a football club based in Zgharta, Lebanon, that competes in the . Founded in 1933 as Salam Achrafieh, the club was renamed Salam Zgharta in 1971; their supporters are primarily Maronites from the Zgharta region and other districts in North Lebanon. Al-Nabi Shayth
Al-Nabi Shayth (, lit. Prophet Seth) is a village in eastern Lebanon, located in the Beqaa Valley and Baalbek District. The village's name comes from the considered burial-site of Seth the son of Adam. A mosque was built on the burial site and it contains the grave of Seth inside the mosque (a rival tradition placed Seth's tomb in the Palestinian village of Bashsheet, and likewise in the Iraqi city of Mosul). The village is also the hometown of former leader and co-founder of Hezbollah, Abbas al-Musawi, as well as the hometown of other senior Hezbollah leaders such as the late Fuad Shukr. Shabab Baalbek Sport Club () is a football club based in Baalbek, Lebanon, that competes in the Founded in 1986 as Nabi Chit Sport Club (), the club was known as Bekaa Sport Club () between 2018 and 2020, and is primarily supported by the Shia Muslim community. History Nabi Chit Sport Club first played in the Lebanese Premier League in the 2014–15 season, after winning Group B of the 2013–14 Lebanese Second Division: they became the first team to represent the Beqaa Governorate in the first division. Rafic Hariri Stadium (), also known as Al Manara Stadium () or Nejmeh Stadium (), is a multi-use stadium in the Manara district of Beirut, Lebanon. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as the home for Nejmeh. Jamal Taha
Jamal Khamis Taha (; born 23 November 1966) is a football coach and former player who is the head coach of the Lebanon national under-23 team. Born in Egypt, he played for the Lebanon national team between 1993 and 2000, whom he captained at the 2000 Asian Cup. Early life Jamal Taha was born in Cairo, Egypt, to an Egyptian father and a Lebanese mother; he obtained Lebanese citizenship through naturalization in 1992 via a presidential decree.
