2015 PSL Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup
The 2015 PLDT Home Ultera PSL Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup was the inaugural beach volleyball tournament of the Philippine Super Liga and the second tournament for its third season. The conference began on July 18, 2015 and ended on August 8, 2015 at the newly opened The Sands, SM By The Bay ( SM Mall of Asia). The games were held for four consecutive Saturdays. The tournament was co-sponsored by Smart Communications. Team Volleyball Manila (originally, Team Volleyball Madness) is a professional volleyball team in the Philippines playing in various tournaments, including the Spikers' Turf (previously with the Premier Volleyball League) and Philippine Superliga (PSL). History The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) as the Systema Active Smashers (under the sponsorship of Peerless Products Manufacturing Corporation), playing as one of the pioneer teams in the men's division. The team also participated in the inaugural men's conference of the Shakey's V-League (the precursor of the Spikers' Turf). Beach Volleyball Competitions In The Philippines
A beach is a landform alongside a body of water which consists of loose particles. The particles composing a beach are typically made from rock, such as sand, gravel, shingle, pebbles, etc., or biological sources, such as mollusc shells or coralline algae. Sediments settle in different densities and structures, depending on the local wave action and weather, creating different textures, colors and gradients or layers of material. Though some beaches form on inland freshwater locations such as lakes and rivers, most beaches are in coastal areas where wave or current action deposits and reworks sediments. Erosion and changing of beach geologies happens through natural processes, like wave action and extreme weather events. Where wind conditions are correct, beaches can be backed by coastal dunes which offer protection and regeneration for the beach. The Instituto Estetico Manila Volley Masters are a professional men's volleyball team playing in various tournaments, including the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) and the Spikers' Turf. The team is owned by Instituto Estetico Manila, a dental and dermatological clinic. In 2014, the team joined the Philippine Super Liga in its 2014 All-Filipino Conference. This was followed by its participation in the inaugural men's tournament of the Shakey's V-League, where it emerged as that league's first men's champion. 2015 Spike For Peace Women’s International Beach Volleyball
The 2015 Spike For Peace International Beach Volleyball Tournament was an international women's beach volleyball tournament hosted in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines from November 29 to December 3, 2015. The tournament staged by the Philippine Sports Commission thru its beach volleyball consultant Eric Lecain and backed by the FIVB, Asian Volleyball Confederation, AVC, Philippine Olympic Committee, POC and the local volleyball federation, the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. The Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Premier Volleyball League. The team was owned by Federated Distributors, Inc., exclusive distributors of Pocari Sweat in the Philippines. Charo Soriano
Maria Rosario "Charo" Soriano (born October 14, 1985) is a Filipino volleyball player, coach, and politician. Soriano is one of the founders of Beach Volleyball Republic, an outdoor volleyball tournament, and a board member of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation. She also serves as a city councilor of Tuguegarao since 2022. Volleyball career During her collegiate playing career for the Ateneo Lady Eagles, she played indoor and beach volleyball. Gretchen Ong Ho (; born April 19, 1990) is a Filipino television presenter and former volleyball player. She played collegiate volleyball for the Ateneo Lady Eagles from 2008 to 2013, where she was a member of the "fab five" who brought Ateneo to their first back-to-back UAAP finals appearances (seasons 74 and 75). Fille Saint Merced Nombres Cainglet-Cayetano (born January 30, 1990) is a Filipina volleyball player of the Creamline Cool Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). Fille also played for the Petron Blaze Spikers in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2016. Alexa Micek (born October 28, 1991) is a Filipino American volleyball athlete who played for Petron Blaze Spikers in the Philippine Super Liga and Kia Forte in the Shakey's V-League. Personal life She graduated from North Carolina State University, where she took up civil engineering for three seasons. She is the daughter of Matt Micek.
