2014 Qatar ExxonMobil Open
The 2014 Qatar Open (also known as 2014 Qatar ExxonMobil Open for sponsorship reasons) was a men's tennis tournament that was played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 22nd edition of the Qatar Open, and part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the 2014 ATP World Tour. It took place at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar, from 30 December 2013 until 5 January 2014. First-seeded Rafael Nadal won the singles title. ATP World Tour 250 Series
The ATP 250 tournaments (previously known as the ''ATP World Tour 250'' tournaments, ''ATP International Series'', and ''ATP World Series'') are the lowest tier of annual men's tennis tournaments on the main ATP Tour, after the four Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam/major tournaments, ATP Finals, ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, ATP 1000 tournaments, and ATP 500 tournaments, ATP 500 tournaments. As of 2024 ATP Tour, 2024, the series included 38 tournaments, with 250 ranking points awarded to each singles champion—which accounts for the name of the series. Draws consist of 28, 32, or 48 for singles and 16 for doubles. David Marrero Santana (; born 8 April 1980) is a Spanish professional tennis player. Marrero won 14 doubles titles and reached a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 5 in November 2013. Daniel Evans (born 23 May 1990) is a British professional tennis player from England. He has been ranked as high as world No. 21 in singles by the ATP, which he achieved on 7 August 2023. Dustin Brown (born 8 December 1984) is a German-Jamaican former professional tennis player who rose to fame after beating Rafael Nadal at the Halle Open in 2014 and at Wimbledon in 2015. Malek Jaziri (; born January 20, 1984) is a Tunisian former professional tennis player. Jaziri reached his highest singles ranking on the ATP Tour of World 42 in January 2019. He primarily played on the Futures circuit and the Challenger circuit.
