2013 Formula Challenge Japan
The 2013 Formula Challenge Japan was a multi-event motor racing championship for open-wheel formula racing cars, and the eighth and final season of the Formula Challenge Japan racing series, a young driver development series jointly supported by Honda, Toyota, and Nissan. The championship featured a mix of manufacturer-affiliated drivers and independent entries, and commenced on 30 March and ended on 10 November. The championship was won by Toyota-backed rookie Kenta Yamashita after a season-long battle where the championship lead changed hands numerous times. Yamashita claimed the title after a hat-trick of wins at the final round in Fuji, more than doubling his points tally to emerge victorious in front of Honda-supported Tsubasa Takahashi and fellow Toyota junior Keishi Ishikawa. Kenta Yamashita
is a Japanese racing driver for Toyota Gazoo Racing who is currently competing in Super GT for Rookie Racing, ROOKIE Racing and in Super Formula Championship, Super Formula for Masahiko Kondō, Kondō Racing. He won the GT500-class Super GT championship title in 2019, driving alongside Kazuya Oshima, and previously won the 2016 Japanese Formula 3 Championship, 2016 All-Japan Formula 3 Championship and the 2013 Formula Challenge Japan titles. Yuki Nemoto
is a Japanese racing driver who last competed in Super GT for Apr (racing team), apr, and in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup with Vincenzo Sospiri Racing. Keishi Ishikawa
(born August 30, 1994) is a Japanese racing driver who currently competes in Super GT with GAINER. Career Super GT Ishikawa made his debut in the GT300 class of Super GT in 2016 for one round with Rn-sports. He made his full season debut next season as he raced with Rn-sports paired with Ryosei Yamashita. In 2018, Ishikawa moved to Pacific with Gulf Racing, partnering Rintaro Kubo as they drove a Porsche 911 GT3#991 GT3 R (2016–2019), Porsche 911 GT3 R. Mobility Resort Motegi (モビリティリゾートもてぎ) is a motorsport venue located in Motegi, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Originally Twin Ring Motegi (ツインリンクもてぎ), the venue's name came from the facility having two race tracks: a oval track and a road course.
