2012 Silverstone GP3 Series Round
The 2012 Silverstone GP3 Series round was a GP3 Series motor race held on 7 and 8 July 2012 at Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, United Kingdom. It was the fourth round of the 2012 GP3 Season. The race supported the 2012 British Grand Prix. Trident Racing entered a third car for Giovanni Venturini in the GP3 category, making the Silverstone rounds the first time the GP3 Series had been run with a full twenty-seven car grid in 2012. Silverstone Circuit
Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The 1950 British Grand Prix at Silverstone was the first race in the newly created World Championship of Drivers. The race rotated between Silverstone, Aintree and Brands Hatch from 1955 to 1986, but settled permanently at the Silverstone track in 1987. The circuit also hosts the British round of the MotoGP series. On 30 September 2004, British Racing Drivers' Club president Jackie Stewart announced that the British Grand Prix would not be included on the 2005 provisional race calendar and, if it were, would probably not occur at Silverstone. GP3 Series
The GP3 Series, or GP3 for short, was a single-seater motor racing series launched in 2010 as a feeder series for the GP2 Series, introduced by GP2 organiser Bruno Michel. GP3 followed the entire European leg of the Formula One series and the GP2 (now Formula 2) series as a support race for the two. Like the GP2 series, GP3 gave drivers the experience of the Grand Prix environment, and took advantage of the infrastructure, such as marshals and medical facilities, in place for the Formula One events. GP3 Series mainly raced on European circuits, but had appearances on other international race tracks, with rounds in the 2015 season at the Bahrain International Circuit in Bahrain and the Yas Marina Circuit in United Arab Emirates. Tamás Pál Kiss
Tamás Pál Kiss (born 19 May 1991 in Miskolc) is a Hungarian auto racing driver. Career Karting Kiss made his karting début in 1998 when he was seven years old. During ten years he scored three titles in Hungarian Championships Formula Renault After competing in regional Hungarian Championship E-2000 in 2007 and 2008, Kiss moved into the LO Formule Renault 2.0 Suisse in 2008 and finished fourteenth with points-scoring finishes in six in the eight races with Speed Box ASE. In 2009, Kiss switched to the Hitech Junior Team, to contest a full season of Formula Renault UK. He had seventeen point-scoring finishes on his way to thirteenth place in the championship and third in the Graduate Cup. Kiss remained in the series with the newly renamed Atech Grand Prix team. David Fumanelli
David Cleto Fumanelli (21 April 1992, Milan) is an Italian racing driver and racing coach. Single Seater Career Formula Renault 2.0 Fumanelli, after just two years of national karting races, made his single-seater debut in 2008 in his native Italian Formula Renault 2.0 series, driving for RP Motorsport. Formula 3 In September 2008, Fumanelli made his Formula 3 debut in the Spanish Formula 3 series, competing for last 2 rounds of the championship. During the last event in Valencia he was involved in a violent airborne accident with Spanish driver Carmen Jordá, which resulted in a vertebra trauma which forced him to a 6 months stop. Status Grand Prix
Status Grand Prix is a former motorsport team registered in Canada. Team history Based in Silverstone the team was formed in 2005 to run the A1 Team Ireland franchise in the new A1 Grand Prix series. The team's founders were former Jordan Grand Prix Executive Mark Gallagher and Dublin businessman Mark Kershaw. Later shareholders included former Formula One driver David Kennedy, John Hynes and Teddy Yip Jr., whose father Teddy Yip owned the Theodore Racing Formula One team. They also ran the A1 Team Canada operation in 2007–08 and also assisted A1 Team Netherlands in 2008–09, the season in which Team Ireland won the championship title. is a Japanese racing driver. Sakurai raced under Filipino license in Formula BMW Pacific and in the GP3 Series. Career Karting Sakurai began his racing career in karting at the age of nine and raced in Japan and Australia. Ocean Racing Technology
Ocean Racing Technology (ORT) was a racing team that took part in both the GP2 Main Series and the GP2 Asia Series Championships. The team, owned by Tiago Monteiro and José Guedes, was formed at the end of the 2008 season after being purchased from BCN, a team which never enjoyed much success in GP2 (two podiums in four years). The driver and the entrepreneur created a structure based on recognized professionals and quickly started to secure first-class results, making it possible for the Portuguese Racing team to fight with the more advanced teams in the FIA accredited championship that is the main feeder series for Formula One. Kevin Ceccon
Kevin Ceccon (born 24 September 1993 in Clusone) is a professional racing driver from Italy. Career Karting Prior to his single–seater career, Ceccon enjoyed a long and successful spell in the junior karting ranks. In 2005 he achieved a fifth place in the Copa Campeones Trophy Junior class before finishing fourth in the Italian Open Masters KF3 category the following year. Daniel Abt
Daniel Johannes Abt (born 3 December 1992) is a German former racing driver. He has competed in such series as the German Formula Three Championship, the GP3 Series, the GP2 Series, and won the 2009 ADAC Formel Masters championship. He competed in the first four rounds of the 2019–20 Formula E season with ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport, however he was dismissed from the team after being found to be using a ringer driver in the sport's subsequent virtual races. Matias Laine (born 25 April 1990 in Joensuu) is a Finnish racing driver. Career Karting Laine began his motorsport career in karting in 2003, finishing as runner-up in the Finnish Raket Cup Championship. In 2005 he won the Finnish Championship for the ICA Junior class. Formula Renault Laine began his formula racing career in the 2008 Formula Renault 2.0 UK Winter Cup season with CR Scuderia. He finished ninth in the championship with 50 points. Giovanni Venturini (born 9 November 1991 in Vicenza) is a professional racing driver from Italy. Career Formula 2000 Light Venturini began his Formula racing career in November 2008, racing in the Formula 2000 Light Italy Winter Trophy, where he finished as runner–up in the two–race series behind Martin Scuncio. The following season, he took part in the opening round of the main Formula 2000 Light season at Magione. Trident Racing is a motor racing team that competes in single-seater formula racing. It was founded in 2006 in order to compete in the GP2 championship, which was Europe's second highest-ranking single-seater formula below Formula One. Trident is headquartered at San Pietro Mosezzo in the Piedmont region of Italy.
