The 2012 Macedonian Handball Cup was the 20th edition of the Macedonian Handball Cup. It took place at the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, between 18 and 20 May 2012. The cup was won by RK Vardar PRO for the eight time. Boris Trajkovski Sports Center
The Boris Trajkovski Sports Center ( mk, Спортски центар Борис Трајковски, Sportski centar Boris Trajkovski) in Skopje is a multi-functional indoor sports arena. It is located in the Karpoš Municipality of Skopje, North Macedonia. It is named after the former president, Boris Trajkovski, who died in a plane crash in 2004. It has a maximum seating capacity of 7,000 for handball, 7,500 for basketball and 10,000 for concerts. The venue also contains four restaurants and a sports bar. RK Vardar 1961 ( mk, РК Вардар 1961) is a professional handball club from Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. Vardar is the most successful handball team in the country, having won fifteen national League and Cup titles. Also, Vardar is the most successful team in the regional SEHA League having won five titles. The team has also won two EHF Champions League titles. History RK Vardar was founded in 1961, as part of the Vardar Sports Club in Skopje, which had been founded in 1947. The RK Grafichar Skopje club was established in 1948, which in terms of rank and quality was right behind Rabotnichki. RK Metalurg Skopje
RK Metalurg Skopje ( mk, РК Металург Скопје) is a Macedonian handball club based in Skopje. They compete in the domestic Macedonian Handball Super League and EHF European League. History The club was founded in 1971 under patronage of the Skopje steel industry. There, an idea was born to form a team composed of employees that worked in the nearby steel mill. Nikola Bogdanovski accepted the idea after it was reviewed by the board of directors. Thus, RK Metalurg was created. The same concept realized by Bogdanovski continues to live today. At the time, the club didn't even think of playing in any of the European competitions, because they played their best not to be relegated from the first league. RK Eurofarm Pelister II (HC Eurofarm Pelister II) ( mk, РК Еурофарм Пелистер 2) is a team handball club from Bitola, North Macedonia. It serves as the second team for RK Eurofarm Pelister. History The original team was the first handball club in Macedonia, formed in 1946 under the name Pelagonija. It later changed its name to Pelister in 1955. Dobrivoje Marković (; born 22 April 1986) is a Serbian handball player for Hercegovac Gajdobra. Club career After starting out at Jugović, Marković moved to Spain and joined Cuenca in 2008. He also played abroad for Vardar and Zagreb, winning numerous trophies. In 2018, Marković returned to his homeland and signed with Železničar 1949.
