2012 European Cup Winter Throwing
The 2012 European Cup Winter Throwing was held on 17 and 18 March at the Stadion Topolica in Bar, Montenegro. It was the twelfth edition of the athletics competition for throwing events and was jointly organised by the European Athletic Association and the Athletic Federation of Montenegro. The competition featured men's and women's contests in shot put, discus throw, javelin throw and hammer throw. In addition to the senior competitions, there were also under-23 events for younger athletes. A total of 294 athletes from 39 European countries entered the competition. On the first day of the competition, Nadzeya Ostapchuk produced a throw of 20.29 m to win the shot put, while Martina Ratej took the women's javelin title. Dutchman Erik Cadée won the men's discus and Kirill Ikonnikov took the hammer title for Russia. 2011 European Cup Winter Throwing
The 2011 European Cup Winter Throwing was held on 19 and 20 March 2011 at the National Sports Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was the eleventh edition of the athletics competition for throwing events and was jointly organised by the European Athletic Association and the Bulgarian Athletic Federation. The competition featured men's and women's contests in shot put, discus throw, javelin throw and hammer throw. In addition to the senior competitions, there were also under-23 events for younger athletes. The first day of events was affected by poor weather, but Hungarian Olympic hammer thrower Krisztián Pars produced a series of throws over 79 metres, with a best of 79.84 m to win the men's event. Vira Rebryk won the under-23 women's javelin, while runner-up Liina Laasma broke the Estonian junior record. Asmir Kolašinac ( sr-cyr, Асмир Колашинац; born 15 October 1984) is a Serbian shot putter who competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2012 Summer Olympics, 2012 London Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 Summer Olympics, 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Tatyana Viktorovna Lysenko (, born 9 October 1983 in Bataysk) is a Russian hammer thrower. Her career has been blighted by repeated doping infractions. In February 2019, the Court of Arbitration for Sport handed her an eight-year ban for doping, starting from 2 July 2016. Career Lysenko's first world record was 77.06 metres, achieved on 15 July 2005 in Moscow, beating the old record of Mihaela Melinte by 0.99 metres. Zalina Marghieva (; born 5 February 1988) is a female hammer thrower who competes for Moldova. Born in Russia, she is the sister of Marina Marghieva and Serghei Marghiev, and is coached by her father Soslan. As a junior, she finished fifth at the 2005 World Youth Championships, fourth at the 2006 World Junior Championships and fifth at the 2007 European Junior Championships. She then competed at the 2008 Olympic Games without reaching the final. At the 2009 European U23 Championships she won the gold medal. Fatih Avan (born 1 January 1989) is a male Turkish javelin thrower. The tall athlete at is a member of Fenerbahçe Athletics team, where he is coached by Metin Altıntaş. Career Avan participated in the 2009 Mediterranean Games in Pescara, Italy and won the gold medal with a personal best throw of 79.78 m.
