2011 Kenyan Premier League
The 2011 Kenyan Premier League was the eighth season of the Kenyan Premier League since it was established in 2003 and the forty-eighth season of top division Association football, football in Kenya since 1963. It began on 26 February with Rangers F.C. (Kenya), Rangers and Gor Mahia F.C., Gor Mahia and ended on 26 November with Ulinzi Stars F.C., Ulinzi Stars and Rangers F.C. (Kenya), Rangers. Ulinzi Stars F.C., Ulinzi Stars were the defending champions, but Tusker F.C., Tusker eventually won the league, their ninth ever title since 1963. However, Sofapaka F.C., Sofapaka, the 2010 FKF Cup champions, took home the 2011 Kenyan Super Cup after beating Ulinzi Stars 1-0. A total of 16 teams competed for the league. Bandari F.C. KFF Nationwide League
The Kenyan Nationwide League was the second-division football league in Kenya, until it was replaced by FKF Division One. There is promotion and relegation with the Kenyan Premier League and the Kenyan Provincial League. History In 2008 Nationwide league was divided into two zones with 16 teams each. In 2009 the league was again structured to contain two levels, ''Nationwide League Division One'' and ''Nationwide League Division Two'', representing the second and third levels of Kenyan league system respectively. ''Nationwide League Division One'' has one zone (16 teams) and ''Nationwide League Division Two'' has two zones. The leagues were later renamed after the league's governing bodies. Ulinzi Stars Football Club is a professional association football club based in Nakuru, Kenya. They compete in the Kenyan Premier League, where they won three consecutive titles from 2003 to 2005. They are the only team to have done so, along with AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia, and won their most recent league title in 2010.
