The 2011 FC Astana season was the third successive season that the club played in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan. It was their first season competing as ''FC Astana'' having changed their name from ''Lokomotiv Astana'', finishing the season in fourth place in the league and reaching the Second Round of the Kazakhstan Cup. Astana Football Club ( kk, Astana Futbol Kluby) is a professional football club based in Astana. They play in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Kazakh football. The club's home ground is the 30,254-seat Astana Arena stadium. The club colours, reflected in their badge and kit, are sky blue and yellow. Founded as ''Lokomotiv Astana'' in 2009, the club changed its name to Astana in 2011. They are members of the Astana Presidential Club, an association of the main sports teams in the capital supported by the Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna. Nenad Erić ( sr-cyr, Ненад Ерић; born 26 May 1982) is a Serbian-born Kazakh goalkeeper who last played and captained Astana in the Kazakhstan Premier League. Career Club On 2 March 2021, Astana confirmed that Erić had left the club after 10 years, and that they had retired the #1 shirt. International Erić made his debut for Kazakhstan on 18 February 2015 in a 1-1 draw at home to Moldova. In February 2019, Erić revealed that he had retired from international duty at the end of Kazakhstan's involvement in the 2018–19 UEFA Nations League. Mark Mikhaylovich Gurman (russian: Марк Михайлович Гурман; he, מרק גורמן; born 9 February 1989 in Alma-Ata) is a Kazakhstani professional association football player who currently plays for Kyzylzhar and the Kazakhstan national team. Club career Gurman made aliyah at the age of fourteen without his parents. He was scouted by Shlomo Scharf who brought him to Israel as part of a project for young Jews to make aliyah without their parents. FC Tver (russian: link=no, ФК «Тверь») is an association football club from Tver, Russia, firstly founded in 1908 as FC Volga Tver. It has played professionally in 1937, 1949, 1953 to 1956, 1958 to 1999, 2004 to 2017, and from 2020. In 1992–1995, the club was called Trion-Volga Tver.
