2011 DEKALB Superspiel (November)
The 2011 DEKALB Superspiel was held November 24 to 27 at the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Manitoba, as part of the 2011–12 World Curling Tour. The event featured 16 men's teams and 15 women's teams competing in a triple knockout format. The purses for the event were CAD$30,000 for the men's event and CAD Computer-aided design (CAD) is the use of computers (or ) to aid in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design. Morris, Manitoba
Morris is a small town in the Pembina Valley region of Manitoba, Canada, located 51 km south of Winnipeg and 42 km north of Emerson. Morris is home to 1,885 people (2016). Named after Alexander Morris, the second Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba. Highway 75, which turns into Interstate 29, is the major highway which runs from Winnipeg to Missouri. Morris is the only town in which Highway 75 is called "Main Street". Karrick Martin
Karrick Martin (born May 24, 1989 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian curler. He currently plays lead on Team Kevin Koe. He is the son of 2010 Olympic champion skip Kevin Martin. Career Juniors Despite being the son of one of curling's greatest players, Martin only began curling at age 19, after playing hockey in high school for the Beaumont Chiefs. He joined the University of Alberta curling team and played in the 2008 CIS/CCA Curling Championships, throwing second stones for the team, which was skipped by Brandon Klassen. There, the team went 3-3 in their group, before losing in a tiebreaker. Martin returned to the national university championship in 2010 throwing third on a team skipped by Eric Richard. Micky Lizmore
Michael "Mick" (Micky) Lizmore (born November 7, 1987 in London, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Edmonton, Alberta. Career Juniors Lizmore, who is originally from London, Ontario won the 2007 Pepsi Ontario Junior Curling Championships playing vice for the Ryan Myler rink. Representing Ontario at the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, the team went 8-4, missing the playoffs. Men's career: Ontario After juniors, Lizmore joined the Mark Kean rink for one season before joining the Jake Higgs team in 2008 as lead. The team made it to the 2009 TSC Stores Tankard, the provincial men's championship for Ontario, where they finished in 4th place. Bradley Thiessen
Bradley Thiessen (born March 1, 1990 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian curler. He was a long-time member of the Brendan Bottcher rink, throwing second stones for the team until 2022. With Bottcher, he won the 2021 Tim Hortons Brier and represented Canada at the 2021 World Men's Curling Championship. Career Juniors Thiessen was a member of the Bottcher rink at the 2010 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, representing Alberta. There, the team finished with a 6-6 record. Thiessen aged off the team, and was not a member of the team when Bottcher won the 2012 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Brendan Bottcher
Brendan Michael Bottcher (born December 19, 1991) is a Canadian curler from Sherwood Park, Alberta. Bottcher is a three-time provincial men's champion, and was the skip of the 2021 Canadian men's championship team, having led Alberta to victory at the 2021 Tim Hortons Brier. Born in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Bottcher enjoyed a successful junior career winning the 2012 Canadian Junior Curling Championships and the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships. David Bohn
David Bohn (born August 29, 1975) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. While never having won a provincial championship in his career, Bohn has been an active skip (or fourth) on the World Curling Tour since 1999. His first event win came at the 1999 Kinsmen Curling Classic, throwing last stones for identical twin brother Dennis. Bohn won another WCT event win at the 2001 Sun Life Grand Prix of Curling. He has just played in one Grand Slam event, the 2003 Players' Championship. After winning his first game there, he would lose the next three matches, eliminating his team in the process.
