2010 Spengler Cup
The 2010 Spengler Cup was held in Davos, Switzerland, from December 26 to December 31, 2010. All matches were played at host HC Davos's home Vaillant Arena. The number of teams was expanded from five to six in comparison to previous seasons, and split into two groups of three. The two groups, named Torriani and Cattini, were named after legendary Swiss hockey players Bibi Torriani and Hans Cattini. Tobias Stephan
Tobias Stephan (born 21 January 1984) is a Swiss professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for Lausanne HC of the National League (NL). He formerly played for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League, Genève-Servette HC and EV Zug. Playing career Stephan was born in Zürich, Switzerland. As a youth, he played in the 1997 and 1998 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with a team from Zürich. In 2001, he was named the best goaltender at U18 World Junior Championships. Stephan first played for EHC Chur and then for the Kloten Flyers in Switzerland. In 2002, he was named the best rookie in the Swiss Hockey League. David Výborný
David Výborný (born January 22, 1975) is a Czech former professional ice hockey player who last played for BK Mladá Boleslav of the Czech Extraliga. He played for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Early career Výborný first rose to prominence playing with Sparta Prague of the Czech Extraliga in 1992. He scored 20 goals and 44 points in 52 games, all as a teenager. The Edmonton Oilers picked Výborný up in the second round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, and he proved that he was not a fluke by scoring 46 points for Sparta in the next season. Výborný came over to North America for the 1994–95 season and played for the Cape Breton Oilers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Tomáš Kůrka (born 14 December 1981) is a Czech former ice hockey forward. He played 17 games in the National Hockey League with the Carolina Hurricanes between 2003 and 2004. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1998 to 2020, was mainly spent in the Czech Extraliga. Playing career Kůrka was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes as their second-round pick, No. 32 overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Tomáš Pöpperle (born October 10, 1984) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Fischtown Pinguins in Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He was originally selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets, 131st overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, and played 2 games for them during the 2006–07 season. The rest of his career, which started in 2003, has been spent in the DEL and Czech Extraliga. Playing career Pöpperle played two games for the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2006–07 season. Tony Hans Mårtensson (born June 23, 1980) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey center. He was born in Upplands Väsby, Sweden. Playing career Mårtensson was drafted by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft in the 7th round as the 224th pick overall. Morris Trachsler (born 15 July 1984) is a retired Swiss professional ice hockey player and the current CFO of Seervision AG. Playing career He participated at the 2010 IIHF World Championship as a member of the Switzerland men's national ice hockey team. He won a total of 104 caps for the Swiss team.
