Edita Abdieski
Edita Abdieski (born 14 November 1984) is a Swiss pop singer. She rose to fame during the debut series of the German ''X Factor'' show, which she won in November 2010. Early life Abdieski is the eldest child born to a Macedonian Albanian father and a Montenegrin Albanian mother. Raised in Bern alongside three younger siblings, she spent much of her childhood in the Bern borough of Bümpliz-Oberbottigen, where she was enrolled at primary and secondary school. Her father died of cancer in 1992. At eleven, Abdieski became part of her first school band and by the age of thirteen, she began writing songs. After leaving school, she was trained as qualified office employee, but as she hoped to embark on a professional singing career, Abdieski enrolled at the Swiss Musical Academy in Bern – much against the wishes of her mother, who was sceptical about her daughter's ambition, prompting Abdieski to leave home and move into a girls' flat-sharing community in 2002. The Octonauts
''Octonauts'' is an animated children's television series, produced by Chorion in series 1 and Silvergate Media starting from series 2 for the BBC channel CBeebies. It is based on the children's books written by Meomi, the design team of Vicki Wong and Michael C. Murphy. The show follows an underwater exploring crew made up of stylised anthropomorphic animals, a team of eight adventurers who live in an undersea base, the ''Octopod'', from which they go on undersea adventures with the help of a fleet of aquatic vehicles. Although its technology is fictional, the exotic creatures and locations that the crew encounter are based on real marine animals in their natural habitats. The series is about a policeman from the 1980s put into a modern police department in Essen. Plot The show is set in Essen, in the center of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region. Mick Brisgau is a homicide detective who was shot in the head on duty in the late 1980s and was then in a coma for 20 years. The show starts when he awakes suddenly from the coma and is allowed to return to his old job at the homicide department. As an old-school macho cop, he doesn't know about modern technology such as cellphones or computers, or modern investigation methods. He tries to deal with the modern world in general, and homicide cases in particular, as if it was still the 1980s. ''Danni Lowinski'' is a German legal dramedy that premiered on Sat.1 on April 12, 2010, featuring Annette Frier as the eponymous character. The show was created by Marc Terjung, who also created the legal dramedy '' Edel & Starck'', and Benedikt Gollhardt. On May 19, 2010, Sat.1 renewed the show for a second season, which premiered on March 14, 2011. A third season was ordered in April 2011, set to premiere on February 6, 2012. The fourth season of the German talent show ''Das Supertalent'' premiered on September 24, 2010. Once again, Bruce Darnell, Dieter Bohlen and Sylvie van der Vaart all returned as Judges, while Daniel Hartwich and Marco Schreyl returned as hosts. Season 4 had approximately 40,700 applicants, making it the highest amount of applicants in the show's history. The auditions began filming on May 16, 2010 in Frankfurt am Main. Other audition locations were Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Munich, Hamburg, Hanover, Leipzig, Berlin, Bochum and finally Cologne on June 20, 2010. When the first auditions episode was broadcast, it had the best viewing figures for an opening episode out of all seasons: 7.47 million viewers.
