2009 San Jose Stealth Season
The San Jose Stealth are a lacrosse team based in San Jose, California. The team plays in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The 2009 season will be the 10th in franchise history and 6th as the Stealth (previously the Albany Attack). On March 19, offensive coordinator Chris Hall was named head coach, while former head coach Jeff Dowling took over Hall's post as offensive coordinator. Dowling resigned a week later. National Lacrosse League
The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a professional box lacrosse league in North America. The league comprises 14 teams8 in the United States and 6 in Canada. The NLL is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the National Hockey League (NHL) and National Basketball Association (NBA). Unlike other box lacrosse leagues, which play in the summer, the NLL plays its games in the winter and spring, from December to June. Frank Resetarits
Frank Resetarits is a lacrosse player from Hamburg, New York. As a high school player Resitarits ranks in the top three players all-time for points in a career. He played forward for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League and attack for the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse. He was drafted fifth overall in the 2007 NLL entry draft by the San Jose Stealth. In 2012, he served as an assistant lacrosse coach at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. In 2014, he began his MCLA coaching career at Pacific University in Stockton, California, as part of the WCLL. In 2016, he would start coaching for the MCLA program at UC Davis, where he still coaches today. In 2018, he also joined the aggies's NCAA D1 women's lacrosse program as an assistant coach. Curtis Hodgson
Curtis Hodgson (born August 12, 1981) is a former professional lacrosse defenseman for the Washington Stealth of the National Lacrosse League, where he won the Champions Cup. He is currently a teacher at Burnaby Central Secondary School where he also serves as co-athletic director and teaches Social Studies and Physical Education. He won two Minto Cup Championships with the Burnaby Junior A Lakers in 2000 and 2002. Early life and education He was born in Burnaby, British Columbia. Hodgson earned a Bachelor's degree from Simon Fraser University where he played lacrosse for four seasons. NLL career In the 2008 Season, with the Stealth, he scored four goals and added 10 assists for 14 points. His 95 loose balls were good for third on the team. Kevin Huntley (lacrosse)
Kevin Huntley (born September 20, 1986) is a professional lacrosse player with the Toronto Nationals of Major League Lacrosse and the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. He plays the attack position. Huntley played collegiate lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University where he helped his team win two national championships, and finished his college career as the eighth all-time leading goal scorer in Johns Hopkins history. His father, Dave Huntley, was also an All-American at Johns Hopkins. In 2008, Huntley was named Major League Lacrosse Rookie of the Year. Collegiate career Huntley won two national championships while playing with the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays. Chicago Shamrox
The Chicago Shamrox were an American professional lacrosse team that played in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) in the 2007 and 2008 NLL seasons. Home matches were played at the Sears Centre in northwest suburban Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The team's ownership group was headed by Kevin Loughery Jr., the son of former NBA head coach Kevin Loughery. The new franchise was announced on February 16, 2006, and the name "Shamrox" was chosen in May 2006. During their inaugural season in 2007, the Shamrox finished the season 6–10 and tied for fourth place in the NLL East Division with the Toronto Rock and Philadelphia Wings. Aaron Wilson (lacrosse)
Aaron Wilson (born December 20, 1980, in Kitchener, Ontario) is a lacrosse player for the Edmonton Rush in the National Lacrosse League. Wilson began his career with the Toronto Rock. After six seasons with the Rock, including a Championship in 2005, Wilson was traded to the Rochester Knighthawks. After only six games with the Knighthawks, Wilson was traded again, this time to the Minnesota Swarm for former rookie of the year Craig Point and Dean Hill. Rochester Knighthawks
The Rochester Knighthawks (also known as the K-Hawks) are an American professional box lacrosse team based in Rochester, New York, that competes in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The team plays its home games at Blue Cross Arena. The Knighthawks are owned by Terry Pegula who purchased the intellectual property of the team from former owner Curt Styres. Styres moved the previous version of the team to Halifax, Nova Scotia, as the Halifax Thunderbirds at the end of the 2018–2019 season. Stephen Hoar
Stephen Hoar (born May 28, 1982 in Oshawa, Ontario) is a Canadian lacrosse player formerly of the Toronto Rock in the National Lacrosse League and formerly of the Hamilton Nationals of Major League Lacrosse. Professional career Hoar played five seasons for the Rochester Knighthawks before being traded to the Rock in September 2008. Toronto Rock
The Toronto Rock are a Canadian professional box lacrosse team based in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area that competes in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The team was the first Canadian franchise in the NLL. The Rock play their home games at the Hamilton Arena in Hamilton, Ontario. The franchise was founded in 1998 as the Ontario Raiders in Hamilton. The Raiders played at Copps Coliseum before being sold to a group of investors led by then Toronto Maple Leafs Assistant GM Bill Watters, who relocated the franchise to Toronto. Anthony Cosmo (lacrosse)
Anthony Cosmo (born October 6, 1977) is a Canadian former professional box lacrosse goaltender and current goaltending coach in the National Lacrosse League. Cosmo is a three-time NLL All-Star, and was named NLL Goaltender of the Year in 2007. Cosmo also plays for the Brampton Excelsiors (MSL) Major Series Lacrosse Senior A Men's league. Cosmo began his lacrosse career with the Junior A Mississauga Tomahawks of the Ontario Lacrosse Association. He then went on to play for the Burnaby Lakers of the BC Junior A Lacrosse League.
