2009 Belgian Grand Prix
The 2009 Belgian Grand Prix (officially the 2009 Formula 1 ING Belgian Grand Prix) was a Formula One motor race held on 30 August 2009 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, near the village of Francorchamps, Wallonia, Belgium. It was the 12th race of the 2009 Formula One season. The race was contested over 44 laps, with an overall race distance of 308.052 km (191.415 mi). The race was won by Kimi Räikkönen of Scuderia Ferrari, Ferrari after starting from sixth on the grid. Giancarlo Fisichella of Force India came second after starting from the team's first and only pole position. Sebastian Vettel came third after starting from eighth on the grid. It was Räikkönen's first Grand Prix victory since the 2008 Spanish Grand Prix and Ferrari's only victory of the season. The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (), informally referred to as Spa, is a Race track, motor-racing circuit located in Francorchamps, Stavelot, Wallonia, Belgium, about southeast of Spa, Belgium, Spa. It is the current venue of the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix, hosting its first Grand Prix in 1925 Belgian Grand Prix, 1925, and has held a Grand Prix every year since 1985 except 2003 and 2006. The 2018 United States Grand Prix (officially known as the Formula 1 Pirelli 2018 United States Grand Prix) was a Formula One motor race held on October 21, 2018, at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. It served as the eighteenth round of the 2018 Formula One World Championship and marked the seventh running of the United States Grand Prix at this circuit. Kimi Räikkönen won the race after starting from second place on the grid, earning his first Grand Prix win since the 2013 Australian Grand Prix and ending a record 114-race winless streak.
