Swedish Football Champions
Swedish football champions () is a title held by the winners of the highest Sweden, Swedish Association football, football league played each year, Allsvenskan. Malmö FF are the holders of the record of most titles with 24 Swedish championships, the most recent of which was won in 2024 Allsvenskan, 2024. The title has been contested since 1896 in various competition formats. The first Swedish Champions, Örgryte IS, were declared in 1896 when the club won the cup tournament Svenska Mästerskapet. This happened before there existed any Swedish national association, which was created in 1904. The winners of Svenska Mästerskapet between 1896 and 1904 have retroactively been declared holders of the title by the Swedish Football Association (SvFF). After the creation of the SvFF, the title continued to be held by the winners of Svenska Mästerskapet until 1925, even though a Swedish first national league, Svenska Serien, started in 1910. IF Brommapojkarna
Idrottsföreningen Brommapojkarna, more commonly known as Brommapojkarna (meaning ''the Bromma boys'') or simply BP, is a Swedish association football, football club based in the borough of Bromma, in the western parts of Stockholm municipality. Brommapojkarna is the largest football club in Europe in terms of the number of active youth teams of all ages – in 2007 there were 247 teams and 3,000 players. The men's team plays in the Allsvenskan, the first tier, and the women's team plays in the Damallsvenskan, the first tier. Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Norrköping, more commonly known as IFK Norrköping or simply Norrköping, is a Swedish professional association football, football club based in Norrköping. Ljungskile SK is a Swedish football club located in Ljungskile, a town within Uddevalla Municipality. They currently play in the Swedish third tier, Division 1. History Ljungskile SK, formed in 1926, is famous for their promotions between 1990 and 1997. IK Sleipner
Idrottsklubben Sleipner is a sports club in Norrköping, Sweden; the main sports are football and ten-pin bowling. It was founded in 1903, and named after the deity Odin's horse Sleipnir from Norse mythology. Currently, the club's senior men's team plays football in Division 2. They are mostly known for winning Allsvenskan in 1938, but have since been overshadowed by local rivals IFK Norrköping both locally and nationally. The rivalry in beginning 1900 up until 1950 was often fierce as IK Sleipner was the workingclass team whilst IFK Norrköping came from the academical class. Skellefteå FF is a football club based in Skellefteå, Västerbotten, Sweden. The club was founded in 1921, and was then called ''Skellefteå AIK Fotboll'', a name it kept until 2006. In the 2015 season, the club plays in the Division 2 Norrland league. Background The name Skellefteå AIK Football was changed to Skellefteå Förenade Fotbollsföreningar in January 2006. The background is a project that was initiated in 2005 to establish a football team as high up the Swedish football league system as possible.
