2008 FC Spartak Moscow Season
The 2008 FC Spartak Moscow season was the club's 17th season in the Russian Premier League season. Spartak finished the season in 8th while progressing to the Quarterfinals of the 2008–09 Russian Cup which took place during the 2009 season. In Europe, Spartak were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Dynamo Kyiv at the Third Qualifying round before dropping into the 2008–09 UEFA Cup where they finished 4th in their group. FC Spartak Moscow (russian: Футбольный клуб «Спартак» Москва, Futbolʹnyy klub «Spartak» Moskva, ) is a Russian professional football club based in Moscow. Radoslav Kováč
Radoslav Kováč (; born 27 November 1979) is a Czech football manager and former player. Kováč played both in midfield and in defence for Sigma Olomouc, Sparta Prague, Spartak Moscow, West Ham United, FC Basel and Slovan Liberec. Clemente Juan Rodríguez (born 31 July 1981) is an Argentine professional footballer. He is a right-footed player and can play on either flank, especially as a left back. Reggina 1914 S.r.l., commonly referred to as Reggina, is an Italian football club based in Reggio Calabria. Martin Jiránek (; born 25 May 1979 in Prague) is a former Czech international footballer. A defender, Jiránek played in the top division of several countries. Jiránek played in a number of international tournaments for his country. In 2002, he was part of the Czech under 21 side which won the 2002 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship in Switzerland. Martin Stranzl (born 16 June 1980) is an Austrian professional football coach and a former player who played as a defender. Club career Born in Güssing, Stranzl played for SV Güssing as a youth. In 1997, he earned a transfer to TSV 1860 Munich, where he completed his youth training and debuted as a Bundesliga professional.
