2007–08 Ukrainian First League
The 2007–08 Ukrainian First League was the seventeenth since its establishment. There were 20 teams competing. Two teams were relegated from the Ukrainian Premier League 2006-07. Four teams were promoted from the Ukrainian Second League 2006-07. Ukrainian First League
The Persha Liha ( ) or Ukrainian First League is a Ukrainian football league system, level of national football competitions (second tier) in Ukraine governed by the Professional Football League of Ukraine, Professional Football League at the discretion of the Ukrainian Association of Football. Members of the league also participate in the Ukrainian Cup. The league is the intermediate level of competitions within the three-tiered "competition pyramid". History The league was set up by the newly reorganized Football Federation of Ukraine (a successor of the Football Federation of the Ukrainian SSR) with the dissolution of the Soviet Union, falling apart Soviet Union as a second tier, lower than Ukrainian Higher League (Vyshcha Liha) and higher that Ukrainian Transitional League (Perekhidna Liha). FC Feniks-Illichovets Kalinine
FC Feniks-Illichovets Kalinine ( (also ''Фенікс-Іллічiвець''); ) was a Ukrainian football club based in Kalinine which is located south-west of Dzhankoy (in the Crimea region). History The team was winner of the Crimea championship in 2005, its bronze medallist in 2004 and 2006 and silver medallist of the Ukrainian amateur championship in 2005. In 2006/07 season they played in the Ukrainian Second League (group B), became runners-up and were promoted to the First League. Football Club Oleksandriya (), commonly known as Oleksandriya, is a Ukrainian professional football club based in the city of Oleksandriya, Kirovohrad Oblast. Founded in 1990, the club plays in the Ukrainian Premier League. The year 1948 on the club's crest appeared after its merger with UkrAhroKom in 2014 and depicts football heritage of the club rather than the club's foundation. FC Enerhetyk Burshtyn was a professional Ukrainian football club based in Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. History The club was formed in 1948 and was previously called ''Kolhospnyk'' (Collective] farmer), ''Avanhard'' (Vanguard) and ''Henerator'' (Generator). FC Volyn Lutsk
FC Volyn Lutsk ( ) was a Ukrainian association football, football club based in Lutsk. Since its establishment in 1960, the club became the only major (professional) football club within Volyn Oblast and uncontested leader of football in the region. On 21 June 2023 the 31st PFL Conference excluded several clubs that did not compete in the 2022–23 season and did not renew their membership. FC Krymteplytsia Molodizhne was a football club based in an urbanized settlement (town) Molodizhne (north of Simferopol and adjacent to the city limits). The club's name means "Crimea greenhouse", as the club was founded by entrepreneur Alexander Vasiliev, general director of the agriculture company of the same name. FC Helios Kharkiv (FC Gelios) is a Ukrainian association football, football club located in Kharkiv, Ukraine. From 2003 to 2018 the club competed at professional level. In 2018 it was expected to be succeeded by FC Kobra Kharkiv, but unsuccessfully. FC Helios dissolved its professional team, but kept its football academy which competes at regional level. FC Dynamo-Ihroservice Simferopol
FC Ihroservice Simferopol (, ) was a Ukrainian football team based in Simferopol, Crimea, Ukraine. Uniform colours were white shirts and blue shorts. History FC Ihroservis traces its heritage to FC Dynamo Simferopol (''Динамо'', part of the Dynamo sports society) that was created in 1936 and participated in the Soviet football competitions until the late 1950s when it was dissolved. In 2000 the football expert Mikhail Sachko and the businessman Nikolai Pashkulsk decided to recreate Dynamo club in place of the already existing FC Pishchevyk (Kharchovyk) Simferopol. In July 2001 the new Dynamo Simferopol joined the professional ranks of the Ukrainian competitions in the Ukrainian Second League. Ihroservis played in Fiolent Stadium that seats 5000. Football Club Desna Chernihiv () is a Ukraine, Ukrainian football (soccer), football club based in Chernihiv. The original name of the club was "Avanhard" (FC Avanhard Chernihiv) during its first year of existence as part of a republican Avanhard (sports society), Avanhard sports society. Between 1961 and 1970 the club was called Desna. In 1972 it was replaced with SC Chernihiv (team of the FC CSKA Kyiv, SKA Kyiv) that played in Chernihiv for the next couple of years. In 1977 Desna was revived now in place of the amateur club "FC Khimik Chernihiv" that won regional competitions. FC Obolon Kyiv (, ) is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Kyiv (Obolonskyi District). Its home colors are green shirts and white shorts; while its away uniforms are white shirts and green shorts. Its main sponsor was the brewery Obolon in 1999–2013. FC Dynamo-2 Kyiv was the second football team of the Ukrainian football club Dynamo Kyiv based in Kyiv, Ukraine. The team was first created in 1938, and the club ceased its recent operations again after the 2015–16 season. During the Soviet period, participation of the second squad was sporadic and mostly at republican level, the Football Championship of the Ukrainian SSR. During the first couple of decades of the Ukrainian second tier (Persha Liha), the team dominated the league competition and won three titles.
