The 2007/08 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup was the twenty ninth World Cup season in freestyle skiing organised by International Ski Federation. The season started on 12 December 2007 and ended on 16 March 2008. Steve Omischl
Steve Omischl (born November 16, 1978) is a Canadian freestyle skier. Career Omischl was born in North Bay, Ontario.As a kid was a paper boy for the North Bay Nugget, Omischl competes in aerials, and made his World Cup debut in December 1999, finishing with a silver medal at an event in Blackcomb. Omischl earned five more podiums on the World Cup circuit before winning his first event in mid-2002. Along with a fellow olympian Jeff Bean, he participated in an episode of the hit show Mantracker where he defeated Terry Grant in the nerve-wracking chase. Over his career thus far, Omischl has placed on the podium at 40 World Cup events, and claimed 20 titles. He has won four overall World Cup titles, finishing atop the aerials standings in 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2009. He has won four medals at the World Championships. Åre () is a locality and one of the leading Scandinavian ski resorts situated in Åre Municipality, Jämtland County, Sweden with 3,200 inhabitants in 2018. Deer Valley
Deer Valley is a ski-only resort in the Wasatch Range, located east of Salt Lake City, in Park City, Utah, United States where snowboarding is prohibited. Deer Valley was one of the venues for the 2002 Winter Olympics, hosting the freestyle moguls, aerial, and alpine slalom events. It is expected to host the mogul event for the 2034 Winter Olympics but lost out on hosting the slalom event. Deer Valley also regularly hosts competitions for the International Ski Federation for moguls and aerials, but is not steep enough nor does it have long enough terrain to host events such as the GS, Super G, or Downhill. Patrick Deneen (born December 25, 1987) is an American freestyle skier, specializing in moguls. Deneen was the gold medalist at the 2009 International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle World Ski Championships. In December 2009, Deneen won the US Olympic trials, held at Steamboat Springs, Colorado, securing a spot on the US Olympic Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In FIS World Cup events, he has reached the podium at 4 events in 25 starts, and was the 2008 Freestyle Rookie of the Year.
