2005–06 Divizia D
The 2005–06 Divizia D was the 64th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a play-off match played on a neutral venue. The winners of the play-off matches promoted to 2006–07 Liga III. Liga IV
Liga IV is the fourth level of the Romanian football league system and is run in all 41 counties and in the Municipality of Bucharest. It was known as the Regional Championship, County Championship, Divizia C – County Phase and Divizia D. Its name was changed into Liga IV before the start of the 2006–07 season. History Football in Romania has its origins in 1909, when the country's first football competition was founded. In the beginning, matches were played in a cup-style system, with participating teams primarily coming from the Muntenia region, especially from Bucharest and Ploiești. In the 1920–21 season, in addition to the Harwester Cup, the Jean Luca P. Niculescu Cup, and the Maior Zorileanu Cup in Bucharest, district championships were also held in Timișoara/Arad, Cluj, Oradea, Târgu Mureș, and Cernăuți. ''Viitorul'' ("The Future") was a daily newspaper published in the Kingdom of Romania, out of Bucharest, as a central organ of the National Liberal Party (PNL). It was formed just months after peasants' revolt of March 1907, being originally linked to the more left-wing, social-minded, factions within Romanian liberalism. Its reformism openly challenged the Conservative Party; its embrace of Romanian nationalism and its promise to enact an extensive land reform made it an ally of the Poporanists, some of whom became ''Viitorul'' contributors. Liga IV Brăila is the county association football, football division of Liga IV for clubs based in Brăila County, România. The competition is ranked as the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system and it is competed between 11 teams, the winner may or may not be promoted to Liga III, depending on the result of a promotion play-off that is disputed against a winner of the neighboring counties series. Liga IV Galați is the regional Liga IV football division for clubs in Galați County, România, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. It is organized by the County Football Association (Asociația Județeană de Fotbal) and is competed amongst 14 teams, the winner is promoted to Liga III after a promotion play-off. History association football, Football arrived in Galați around 1908, brought by foreign commercial companies and the efforts of Officer Vladovici, a career officer who had studied in France. The first matches involved military teams, such as the one from the 3rd Heavy Artillery Regiment founded by Vladovici, which played against the English sailors stationed in the port. ACS Victoria Tecuci
Asociația Club Sportiv Victoria Tecuci, commonly known as Victoria Tecuci, was a Romanian football club based in Tecuci, Galați County. The club was created in 1954 and last time dissolved in 2021. History The first football match in Tecuci was played in 1926, that match also being the first match played under the floodlights and was played between ''Armata Tecuci'' and ''Armata București''. Victoria Tecuci was founded under the name ''Voința Tecuci'' in 1954 and was the first football team from Tecuci that has ever played in a national competition.
