2005 World Expo
Expo 2005 was a world expo held for 185 days between Friday, March 25 and Sunday, September 25, 2005, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, east of the city of Nagoya. Japan has also hosted Expo '70 Osaka (World Expo), Expo '75 Okinawa (Specialised Expo), Expo '85 Tsukuba (Specialised Expo), and Expo '90 Osaka (Horticultural Expo) and is currently hosting Expo 2025 Osaka (World Expo). The site of the expo would become the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park after it ended and is now the home of Ghibli Park. Theme The theme of the Expo was "Nature's Wisdom", with national and corporate pavilions expressing themes of ecological co-existence, renewable technology, and the wonders of nature. ASIMO
ASIMO (Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility) is a humanoid robot created by Honda in 2000. In 2002, there were 20 units of the first ASIMO model produced; three different ASIMO models subsequently followed. As of February 2009, there were over 100 ASIMO units in existence. In July of 2018, Honda stated that it would be ceasing all development and production of ASIMO robots in order to focus on more practical applications using the technology developed through ASIMO's lifespan. Expo '75 ( ) was a World's Fair held on the island of Okinawa Island, Okinawa in Japan from July 20, 1975, to January 18, 1976. History Expo 75 was conceived, in part, to commemorate the American handover of Okinawa Prefecture, Okinawa to Japan in 1972. The theme of the exposition was the oceans, and focused on oceanography, oceanographic technologies, marine biology, marine life, and oceanic cultures. is a theme park in Nagakute, Aichi, Japan. It opened on 1 November 2022 and features attractions based on several of the movies produced by Studio Ghibli. First announced in 2017, with construction starting in 2020, the park is located within the grounds of the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park. It is mainly accessible by the Aichikyūhaku-kinen-kōen Station, which is a railway station at the park entrance. This is the primary place of access as there is no private parking lot for the park.
