Lillo & Greg
Pasquale Petrolo (Rome, 27 August 1962) and Claudio Gregori (Rome, 17 November 1963), best known as Lillo & Greg, are an Italian comedy duo who work on stage, film, television, radio as well as musicians, authors and cartoonists. Life and career Petrolo and Gregori first met in 1986, when they both worked as cartoonists for the same publishing house, ACME (Petrolo as author of ''Zio Tibia'', realized together with Michelangelo La Neve, while Gregori for ''I sottotitolati''). When in 1991 the publishing house failed, the two decided to engage in new projects, most notably the creation of a comedy rock group, Latte & i Suoi Derivati ("Milk & Its Derivatives"). Active in television, radio, on stage and in films, they are among the creators of the TV-program ''Le Iene'', and since 2003 they are authors and hosts of the program ''610 - Sei Uno Zero'' on Radio 2. QOOB
QOOB was an Italian television channel owned by MTV Italy, launched in 2005 and permanently closed in 2009. Content Was launched in November 2005 as ''XXXX'' on Telecom Italia Media analogue television frequencies. Broadcasting indie music videos and user-generated content, on 8 April 2006 was renamed as ''Flux'' and later, on 30 November 2006, was again renamed as ''QOOB''. From 1 January 2009 to 9 February 2009, Telecom Italia Media has temporarily stopped broadcasting and definitively closed on 3 November 2009. A program called ''The QOOB Factory'' on MTV Brand New broadcast user-generated videos from QOOB website. On 30 June 2011 QOOB was replaced by a new channel called CanalOne. Fox Crime (Italian TV Channel)
Fox Crime was an Italian pay television channel owned by Fox Networks Group Italy, dedicated to broadcast crime series. A time-shift channel called Fox Crime +1, which broadcast the same programmes an hour later, was launched on 1 May 2007. On 1 June 2009, a HD simulcast called Fox Crime HD was launched. In November 2010, a second time-shift channel, Fox Crime +2, was introduced. On 1 July 2021, the channel closed. AXN (Italian TV Channel)
AXN was an Italian pay television channel owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. It focused on action-themed programmes, including action series and movies and action reality shows. The channel was launched in October 2005. In March 2009, it launched its own HD simulcast feed. It closed down, along with AXN Sci-Fi on 28 February 2017. Real Time (TV Channel)
Real Time (Discovery Real Time until 31 August 2010) is an Italian television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA. The channel launched on 1 October 2005, becoming the sixth Discovery network to launch in Italy. It showed lifestyle programmes targeting a female upper-class audience of 25- to 44-year-olds. It features both foreign programmes and Italian programmes produced for the channel. On 7 April 2009 the channel adopted a new logo and a new look. This look had previously been adopted by Discovery Real Time France. After becoming the most viewed non-fiction entertainment channel on the Sky Italia platform, on 1 September 2010, it changed its name to "Real Time", and became available both on digital terrestrial and via free-to-air satellite, also joining the Tivùsat platform. Sportitalia Live 24 (known as SI Live 24) is an Italian sports channel, national sports television channel that broadcasts via the internet and via HbbTV. Animal Planet was an Italian television channel broadcasting programmes about animals. All content is adapted for an Italian audience. The channel closed down on January 31, 2019. The channel launched on May 1, 2005, exclusively available on Sky Italia. It was the fifth channel launched by Discovery Networks in Italy after Discovery Channel, Discovery Science, Discovery Civilisation and Discovery Travel & Adventure. In October 2008, the channel adopted a new logo and a new look, previously adopted by the channel's American counterpart. Animal Planet closed in Italy on 1 February 2019. ''Grande Fratello'' (also known by the acronym ''GF'') is the Italian version of the reality television franchise '' Big Brother''. Begun in September 2000, it has gone on to become a cultural phenomenon in Italy. There have been twenty-two completed seasons as of 2023, sixteen regular seasons and seven celebrity seasons. Format Based on the original Dutch version created by Endemol, the show sees a number of "housemates", divided by gender, social backgrounds and geographical locations, locked up together in a house, where the viewing public can watch them twenty-four hours a day, and vote them out of the house as they choose. Lorenzo Giovanni "Renzo" Arbore (; born 24 June 1937) is an Italian television host, singer, actor and film director. Career Arbore became nationally recognized as radio anchor man, together with Gianni Boncompagni, in the late 1960s, with shows such as ''Bandiera gialla ''(1965), ''Per voi giovani ''(1967), ''Alto Gradimento ''(1970), increasingly marked by their ironical approach which later became one of their brands. Television in Italy was Timeline of the introduction of television in countries, introduced in 1939, when the first experimental broadcasts began.
