Lillo is a municipality and spanish locality in the province of Toledo, Spain, Toledo, in the autonomous community of Castilla–La Mancha, Castilla la-mancha. The municipality has a population of 2493 inhabitants (INE 2024). Toponymy The name of "Lillo" could derive from the latin word "liliv", which means lilium. Nature Flora and fauna The most characteristic flora is represented, in addition to the Populus, poplar, oak, elm, scrub oak and broom, by the Salicornia, salicor and Esparto, esparto grass. There are several Endorheic basin, endorheic and salt lagoons that have been declared Nature Reserves and boast characteristic flora, including the Moorish sedge or almorchín, endangered species in the region. Miguel Lillo
Miguel Ignacio Lillo (26 July 1862 – 4 May 1931) was an Argentine naturalist and professor. Early life and education Born in the city of San Miguel de Tucuman on 26 July 1862, Lillo was related to Lastenia Blanco, and journalist, Emilio J. Schleh. Miguel Lillo studied at the National School of Tucumán, graduating in 1881, but could not afford to continue formal university studies. Career Lillo was passionately devoted to various scientific studies, especially those pertaining to nature. After his formal education, he continued working as an assistant pharmacist in the Physics and Chemistry laboratories of the National College. By 1883, he had amassed a collection of plants from his local area comprising 700 specimens. Luisa Pastor Lillo (10 October 1948 – 18 April 2018), was a Spanish politician. Passionate about the Moors and Christians festivities in San Vicente del Raspeig, she was a member of the "Moros Viejos" comparsa. Manuel Castellano Castro (born 27 March 1989), commonly known as Lillo, is a Spanish footballer who plays as a full-back for Águilas FC. Club career Born in Aspe, Province of Alicante, Valencian Community, Lillo began his career with local Valencia CF, playing three seasons with the reserves. In 2006–07 and 2009–10, he totalled 23 appearances, with the team being relegated from Segunda División B on both occasions. Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lillo Díez (born 3 November 1965) is a Spanish football manager. Having started coaching before his 20s, he was the youngest manager in charge of a La Liga club, having taken over Salamanca at not yet 30 years of age. Cristian Damián Lillo (born 12 August 1985) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Deportivo Morón. Career Lillo, after spending his youth at Alianza Sociedad de Fomento, started in 2004 with Estudiantes, where he remained for three seasons. Pasquale Petrolo (Rome, 27 August 1962) and Claudio Gregori (Rome, 17 November 1963), best known as Lillo & Greg, are an Italian comedy duo who work on stage, film, television, radio as well as musicians, authors and cartoonists.
