George Hincapie
George Anthony Hincapie (born June 29, 1973) is an American former racing cycle sport, cyclist, who competed professionally between 1994 and 2012. Hincapie was a key domestique of Lance Armstrong. Hincapie was also a domestique for Alberto Contador in 2007 Tour de France, 2007 and for Cadel Evans in 2011 Tour de France, 2011, when both men won the Tour de France. He was the owner and general manager of UCI Professional Continental team until it folded at the end of the 2020 season. On October 10, 2012, Hincapie released a statement on his website acknowledging the use of performance-enhancing drugs and confirming that he had been approached by US federal investigators and USADA about his experiences with doping. 2005 UCI ProTour
The 2005 ProTour was the first year of the newly introduced UCI ProTour system, in which the ProTour teams are guaranteed, and obliged to, participate in the series of ProTour races. In certain ways the ProTour replaced the UCI Road World Cup series of one-day races, which in 2004 was won by one-day specialist Paolo Bettini for the third time in a row. Jan Ullrich
Jan Ullrich (; born 2 December 1973) is a German former professional road bicycle racer. Ullrich won gold and silver medals in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, Sydney. He won the 1999 Vuelta a España and the HEW Cyclassics in front of a home crowd in Hamburg in 1997. He had podium finishes in the hilly classic Clásica de San Sebastián. His victorious ride in the 1997 Tour de France led to a bicycle boom in Germany. He retired in February 2007. In 2006, Ullrich was barred from the Tour de France amid speculation of having doping (sport), doped. In February 2012, Ullrich was found guilty of a doping offence by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Kurt Asle Arvesen (born 9 February 1975) is a Norway, Norwegian former professional road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional between 1998 and 2011. Luca Paolini (born 17 January 1977) is an Italian former road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2000 and 2015. He started his sports career in the early 2000s by joining (2000–2002), UCI ProTeam directed by Patrick Lefevere. Cristian Moreni (born 21 November 1972 in Asola) is an Italian former road racing cyclist who competed as a professional from 1998 to 2000. He took eight wins in his career, including stages of the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España, the Italian National Road Race Championships and the Giro del Veneto. he also competed in the road race at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Doping Moreni tested positive for testosterone at the end of the 11th stage of the 2007 Tour de France, on 25 July 2007 (stage 16). He was arrested after stage 16 by French gendarmes. Markus Zberg
Markus Zberg (born June 27, 1974 in Altdorf, Uri) is a retired Swiss professional road bicycle racer; he is the younger brother of Beat Zberg. Zberg retired after a severe fall in the Tour de l'Ain. He was the Swiss National Road Race champion in 2000 and 2008. Career Zberg became a professional bicycle racer in 1996. Alexandre Usov (born 27 August 1977) is a Belarusian retired racing cyclist. His specialty is sprinting. Career Usov came so close to victory at the 2005 GP Ouest-France with both himself and winner George Hincapie celebrating the win and unsure who won. Hincapie was awarded the win in a photo finish but years later after Hincpie admitted to doping his result was annulled so usov finished second to no one. Usov re-signing with for the 2007 season was only going to happen if Francisco Mancebo did not return to the team as the team could not afford them both. Mancebo was implicated in Operación Puerto doping case and was facing possible suspension. Mancebo left the team and signed Usov. After four top 10's in stages at the 2007 Giro d'Italia, Usov had his lead-out in the perfect position to contest the stage 18 sprint finish.
