Alexandre Usov
Alexandre Usov (born 27 August 1977) is a Belarusian retired racing cyclist. His specialty is sprinting. Career Usov came so close to victory at the 2005 GP Ouest-France with both himself and winner George Hincapie celebrating the win and unsure who won. Hincapie was awarded the win in a photo finish but years later after Hincpie admitted to doping his result was annulled so usov finished second to no one. Usov re-signing with for the 2007 season was only going to happen if Francisco Mancebo did not return to the team as the team could not afford them both. Mancebo was implicated in Operación Puerto doping case and was facing possible suspension. Mancebo left the team and signed Usov. After four top 10's in stages at the 2007 Giro d'Italia, Usov had his lead-out in the perfect position to contest the stage 18 sprint finish. 2009 Tour Down Under
The 2009 Tour Down Under was the 11th edition of the Tour Down Under cycling stage race, taking place over 20–25 January in and around Adelaide, South Australia. The Tour Down Under was the first race outside Europe to be given ProTour status by the Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI, and this edition was the first race in the inaugural 2009 UCI World Ranking, UCI World Ranking calendar. This was the first race in Lance Armstrong's comeback. The race was preceded by an opening race called Down Under Classic, not part of the UCI ProTour competition. King Of The Mountains
The King of the Mountains (KoM) is an award given to the best climbing specialist in a men's cycling road race; in women's cycle racing, Queen of the Mountains (QoM) is used. While the title may be given to the rider who achieves the highest position over several designated climbs in a single-day road race, it is more usually applied to stage races (for example, the Grand Tours, Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Vuelta a España) where points are accumulated over the duration of the whole race. In the Tour de France, where it is officially known as the Mountains classification, at the top of each significant climb, points are awarded to the riders who are first over the top. The climbs are categorised from 1 (most difficult) to 4 (least difficult) based on their steepness and length. The 2008 Tour de Langkawi was the 13th edition of the Tour de Langkawi, a cycling stage race that took place in Malaysia. It started on 9 February in Alor Setar and ended on 17 February in Kuala Lumpur. This race was rated by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as a 2.HC race category and was highest ranked stage race on the 2007–08 UCI Asia Tour. The Bretagne Classic, also called Bretagne Classic Ouest-France, is an elite cycling classic held annually in late summer around the Breton village of Plouay in western France. The race was originally named Grand-Prix de Plouay and, from 1989 to 2015, GP Ouest-France. It was included in the inaugural UCI ProTour in 2005 and in 2011 in its successor, the UCI World Tour.
