Mariusz Staszewski (born 25 January 1975 in Poland) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career He gained his speedway licence in 1991 and rode for Stal Gorzów Wielkopolski in 1992. In 2001, Staszewski finished second in the 2001 Individual Speedway European Championship. From 2009 to 2013, Staszewski rode in the Team Speedway Polish Championship for Ostrów. Krzysztof Jabłoński
Krzysztof Jabłoński (born 30 September 1977 in Gniezno, Poland) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career Jabłoński won Individual Speedway European Championship, European Champion titles and was a member of the Poland national speedway team, Polish national team. In Sweden he rode for Västervik Speedway during 2004. In October 2008, he joined the Lakeside Hammers speedway team in the UK, during an injury crisis during the 2008 Elite League speedway season. He previously rode in Britain for Wolverhampton Wolves in 2001 and for Oxford Cheetahs in 2002. Family His brother, Mirosław Jabłoński (b. 1985) is also a speedway rider. Tomasz Gapiński (born 8 July 1982 in Piła, Poland) is an international motorcycle speedway rider. Career Gapiński rode in the 2007 Speedway Grand Prix of Europe. Rafał Szombierski
Rafał Szombierski (born 12 March 1982 in Pyskowice, Poland) is a Polish former motorcycle speedway rider. Career Szombierski rode in the Team Speedway Polish Championship for Rybnik from 1999 to 2007 and for Rivne Speedway in 2008. After missing 2009 he joined Włókniarz Częstochowa for five seasons before returning to Rybnik, where he spent the remainder of his career from 2015 to 2017. Szombierski won the bronze medal at the 2001 Speedway Under-21 World Championship held on 26 August at the East of England Showground in England. In 2022, he was sentenced to nine years in prison while driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a serious accident. Andrzej Huszcza
Andrzej Huszcza (born 10 March 1957 in Krępa, Poland) is a Polish former international motorcycle speedway rider. He earned 45 international caps for the Poland speedway team. Career Huszcza rode for Falubaz Zielona Góra for thirty years from 1975 until 2005. He then spent two seasons with PSŻ Poznań before finally retiring aged fifty. Huszcza spent two seasons in the UK riding for Leicester Lions in the British League in addition to the Hackney Hawks and Reading Racers. Huszcza was a reserve (but did not ride) in the 1988 World Final in Vojens, Denmark. In 2008, he returned to ZKŻ Zielona Góra as coach. Personal life Huszcza is the father of three daughters. Grzegorz Walasek (born 29 August 1976) is a Polish motorcycle speedway rider who has competed in the Speedway Grand Prix series and earned 15 international caps for the Poland national speedway team. Career Born in Krosno Odrzańskie, Poland, Walasek began his senior career in 1993 with ZKŻ Zielona Góra, and won the Polish Under-21 Championship in 1997. In 2000, he began riding in the UK with Poole Pirates. In 2004, he won the senior Polish individual championship. He was part of the Polish team that won the Speedway World Cup in 2005 and 2007. Walasek rode in 22 Speedway Grand Prix, reaching one final and scoring a total of 138 points. For his sporting achievements, he received the Golden Cross of Merit in 2007. Sebastian Ułamek (born 20 November 1975) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. He was a European individual Champion and earned 9 international caps for the Poland national speedway team. Career Ułamek rode in the Polish leagues for his home club Włókniarz Częstochowa from 1992 until 1998 and then Wybrzeże Gdańsk, Gdańsk from 1999 to 2000 (the 2000 season was in the Ekstraliga (speedway), Ekstraliga). He began to establish himself as one of the leading riders and participated in his first Grand Prix series during the 1998 Speedway Grand Prix season. He made his British league debut in 2000, when riding several times for Wolverhampton Wolves before returning to Poland to ride for WTS Wrocław, Wrocław. Dariusz Śledź (born 15 September 1969) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. He earned 7 international caps for the Poland national speedway team. Career Śledź first came to prominence after reaching the final of the 1990 Speedway Under-21 World Championship, finishing 12th. He rode in the 1995 Speedway Grand Prix of Poland. Śledź won the Team Speedway Polish Championship, Polish league three times and spent most oh his career with TŻ Lublin, Lublin and WTS Wrocław, Wrocław. In 2004, he rode for Peterborough Panthers in the British speedway leagues, during the 2004 Elite League speedway season but only rode in six matches.
