2000 Indian Wells Masters
The 2000 Indian Wells Open (also known as Tennis Masters Series Indian Wells) was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 27th edition of the Indian Wells Masters, and was part of the ATP Masters Series of the 2000 ATP Tour, and of the WTA Tier I Events, Tier I Series of the 2000 WTA Tour. Both the men's and the women's events took place at the newly built Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, California, United States. The women's tournament was played from March 10 through March 18 and the men's from March 13 through March 19. Thomas Karl Johan Enqvist (born 13 March 1974) is a Swedish former professional tennis player. He reached the final of the 1999 Australian Open and won a total of 19 singles titles, including three Masters titles. Nicolás Alexander Lapentti Gómez (; born 13 August 1976) is an Ecuadorian former professional tennis player. Lapentti was ranked world No. 6 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in April 2000. Marcelo Andrés Ríos Mayorga (; born 26 December 1975) is a Chilean former professional tennis player. Magnus Norman (born 30 May 1976) is a Swedish former professional tennis player and current coach. He was ranked world No. 2 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), in June 2000.
