1998–99 Saudi Crown Prince Cup
The 1999 Crown Prince Cup was the 24th season of the Saudi premier football knockout tournament since its establishment in 1957. The main competition started on 14 March and concluded with the final on 16 April 1999. Al-Ahli were the defending champions; however, they were eliminated in the Round of 16 by Al-Hilal. In the final, Al-Shabab defeated Al-Hilal 1–0 to secure their third title. The final was held at the Youth Welfare Stadium in Dammam for the first time. As winners of the tournament, Al-Shabab qualified for the 2000–01 Asian Cup Winners' Cup. As runners-up, Al-Hilal qualified for the 2000 Arab Cup Winners' Cup. Al Taawoun FC () is a professional multi-sports club based in Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. The football team competes in the Saudi Pro League, the top tier of Saudi Football. The club plays their home games at King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in Buraidah, sharing the stadium with city rivals Al-Raed, with whom they contest the Qassim Derby. Riyadh F.C. or Al-Riyadh () is a professional football club based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It currently plays in the Saudi Pro League (the first tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia). In a sport or game, sudden death (also sudden-death, sudden-death overtime, or a sudden-death round) is a form of competition where play ends as soon as one competitor is ahead of the others, with that competitor becoming the winner. Sudden death is typically used as a tiebreaker when a contest is tied at the end of regulation (normal) playing time or the completion of the normal playing task. Al-Qadsiah () is a Saudi Arabian professional football club that competes in the Saudi Pro League. The team is based in the eastern city of Khobar and their home ground is the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium.
