1995–96 Ukrainian First League was the fifth season of the Ukrainian First League which was easily won by Vorskla Poltava. The season started on August 4, 1995, and finished on July 1, 1996. Ukrainian First League
The Persha Liha ( ) or Ukrainian First League is a Ukrainian football league system, level of national football competitions (second tier) in Ukraine governed by the Professional Football League of Ukraine, Professional Football League at the discretion of the Ukrainian Association of Football. Members of the league also participate in the Ukrainian Cup. The league is the intermediate level of competitions within the three-tiered "competition pyramid". History The league was set up by the newly reorganized Football Federation of Ukraine (a successor of the Football Federation of the Ukrainian SSR) with the dissolution of the Soviet Union, falling apart Soviet Union as a second tier, lower than Ukrainian Higher League (Vyshcha Liha) and higher that Ukrainian Transitional League (Perekhidna Liha). FC Polissya Zhytomyr
Football Club Polissya Zhytomyr () is a Ukrainian professional Association football, football club based in Zhytomyr, Polesia, Polissya. It plays in the Ukrainian Premier League, the top tier of Ukrainian football, following promotion from the 2022–23 Ukrainian First League. The original Soviet team of masters became defunct after the 2004–05 season and for almost decade the city was without its professional club, although the Polissia football academy as a specialized sports school continued to play at local competitions. SKA Odesa (, ''Society with a limited liability "Football club SKA"'') was a Ukrainian associated football club based in Odesa, Ukraine from 2011 until February 2013. The club was named as SKA Odesa out of nostalgic feelings for the past Soviet football club out of Odesa. FC Khimik Sievierodonetsk () was a professional Ukraine, Ukrainian football (soccer), football club. The club was based in Sievierodonetsk, Ukraine. Brief history In Soviet times the club participated on the professional level from 1963 when the Ukrainian zone of the Soviet Second League was organized and until 1970 during another reorganization of the Soviet football structure. The "team of masters" was representing local Azot (Sievierodonetsk), Azot chemical plant. Later, in 1991 it reentered the professional competition once again right before the dissolution of Soviet Union. In the Ukrainian soccer competitions as well as in the Soviet, the club was called ''Khimik'' (chemical scientist). Football Club Skala 1911 Stryi () is a Ukrainian professional football team. The team is based in Stryi. The club traces its history to times of the Austria-Hungary just before the World War I, when in Stryi was formed the first Ukrainian football team as part of the local Sich sports society. The same society which contributed to formation of the Sich Riflemen. After the World War I, when territories of the Western Ukraine were part of the Second Polish Republic, Skala reappeared again competing at regional competitions. The team remained at regional level following the World War II when the region was annexed by the Soviet Union. It was not until Ukraine gained full independence, when FC Skala gained a professional status in 1992 and was admitted in Ukrainian football competitions replacing another team from Kamianka-Buzka. Football Club Naftovyk Okhtyrka is a Ukraine, Ukrainian amateur association football, football club based in Okhtyrka, Sumy Oblast, where it was founded in 1980. City Sports Club Dnipro Cherkasy () was a Ukrainian football team based in Cherkasy. Over its history the club has been dissolved and revived several times. The original club that existed 1955-1974 was dissolved following a financial scandal. After that the club again was dissolved and revived couple of more times.
