SCA Odesa
SKA Odesa (, ''Society with a limited liability "Football club SKA"'') was a Ukrainian associated football club based in Odesa, Ukraine from 2011 until February 2013. The club was named as SKA Odesa out of nostalgic feelings for the past Soviet football club out of Odesa. The Professional Football League of Ukraine informed that the Ukrainian club cannot claim its heritage to it. History The club was founded in 2011 under a memorial name of SKA Odesa, which is a name for the Soviet Army football club of the Odesa Military District that used to compete in the Soviet competitions (1944–1992) and later as a city team SC Odesa in the Ukrainian competitions (1992–1999). The current (former) club was formed in 2010 by former players and training staff of the Soviet team. Spartak Stadium (Odesa)
Spartak Stadium is multi-functional stadium in the city of Odesa, Ukraine. It is the home ground of football club FC Real Pharma Odesa, Real Pharma Odesa and RC Kredo-63. It was the temporary home ground of FC Chornomorets Odesa, Chornomorets of the Ukrainian Premier League, Ukraine Premier League while their home stadium is under reconstruction for Euro 2012. The stadium was opened in 1928 as a dedication to the 10th anniversary of the Komsomol and was considered the most modern stadium in the city at the time with seating capacity of 10,000 spectators and home to the Odesa city football team. The Ukrainian Second League (, ''Druha Liha'') is a professional football league in Ukraine which is part of the Professional Football League of Ukraine, a collective member of the Ukrainian Association of Football. As the third tier it was established in 1992 as the Transitional League and changed its name the next season. The league is lower than the Ukrainian First League (''Persha Liha'') and the lowest level of professional football competitions in the country. The Professional Football League of Ukraine (; also known as PFL) is a non-for-profit sports association of professional football (sports) clubs also known as the Football Clubs Association "Professional Football League of Ukraine". Odesa Military District
The Odessa Military District (; , abbreviated ) was a military administrative division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This district consisted of Moldavia and five Ukrainian oblasts of Odesa (then spelled ''Odessa''), Mykolaiv, Kherson, Crimea and Zaporizhzhia. In 1998 most of its territory was transformed into the Southern Operational Command. The district was originally established by the Soviet Armed Forces, and then was inherited by Ukraine. As the Soviet Union dissolved, the district's 14th Guards Army was split three ways. SC Odesa
SC Odesa is a Ukrainian former football team that appeared in 1992 following the reorganization of the Soviet SKA Odesa. The new city municipal team was located in Odesa, Ukraine and previously at one point was part of the Soviet Army sport system. Brief history The club was founded as a sport society of various disciplines in 1944. It began its legacy in the Soviet sport competitions under the name of ODO (Okruzhnoy Dom Offitserov), which meant Regional Officers' Club in Russian. There were many similar Army clubs in various cities across the whole USSR, with the central one being in Moscow. Since 1957 all of them changed names to SKVO (Sport Club of Military District), the club became SKVO Odesa. 2012–13 Ukrainian Second League
The 2012–13 Ukrainian Second League was the 22nd season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. There are two groups of competition divided by region. The competition began on 13 July 2012 when Hirnyk-Sport Komsomolsk visited Sevastopol to play against FC Sevastopol-2 and lost 3–1. The first stage will be a round robin competition similar to the previous seasons. The first stage of the competition will be played prior to the winter break. The Ukrainian Cup ( ) is an association football national knockout cup competition run by the Ukrainian Association of Football. The competition is conducted almost exclusively among professional clubs. Since the 2003–04 season, the Cup winner qualifies to play the Ukrainian Premier League winner for the Ukrainian Super Cup.
