The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) is a non-profit American automobile club and sanctioning body supporting Autocross, Rallycross, HPDE, Time Trial, Road Racing, RoadRally, and Hill Climbs in the United States. Formed in 1944, it runs many programs for both amateur and professional racers. Honda Indy Toronto
The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto is an annual Indy Car race, held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Originally known as the Molson Indy Toronto, it was part of the Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) series from 1986 to 2003, and then the Champ Car World Series from 2004 to 2007. After a one-year hiatus, it has been part of the NTT IndyCar Series schedule since 2009. Dallas Grand Prix
The Dallas Grand Prix was a series of auto races held at temporary street circuits in the vicinity of Dallas starting in 1984. The inaugural 1984 event was round of the Formula One World Championship and took place in Fair Park, near downtown Dallas. The 1985 race was cancelled due to financial problems, safety concerns, and citizen complaints stemming from the venue's close proximity to residential neighborhoods. In 1988, the race was revived as a round of the Trans-Am Series. In 1989, the event moved to the northern Dallas suburb of Addison. After a one-year hiatus in 1992, the event returned to Dallas at a new street circuit around Reunion Arena, and was last held in 1996. Jack Baldwin (born May 31, 1948 in Marietta, Georgia) is a race car driver. Jack Baldwin is a legend in road racing, with wins in every series that he has competed in, as well as victories at every major race track in the United States during his successful career that has spanned four decades. Jack has won 5 professional Championships and over 30 major pro races that include one Daytona 24 Hour win and two 12 hours of Sebring wins. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a road course auto racing facility located in Troy Township, Morrow County, Ohio, United States, just outside the village of Lexington. It hosts a number of racing series such as IndyCar, IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, along with other club events such has SCCA and National Auto Sport Association. Road America is a motorsport Road racing, road course located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on Wisconsin Highway 67. The Circuit Trois-Rivières is a street circuit in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. The circuit has been the home of the annual Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, the longest-running street race in North America, since 1967. The circuit is located on the Terrain de l'Exposition (fairgrounds) and is unusual in that it passes through ''Porte Duplessis'', the narrow concrete gateway of the grounds at turn 3. Watkins Glen International, nicknamed "The Glen", is an automobile race track in the Northeastern United States, northeastern United States, located in Dix, New York, just southwest of the village of Watkins Glen, New York, Watkins Glen, at the southern tip of Seneca Lake (New York), Seneca Lake. The Dodge Daytona is an automobile which was produced by the Chrysler Corporation under their Dodge division from 1984 until 1993. It was a front-wheel drive hatchback based on the Chrysler G platform, which was derived from the Chrysler K platform. The Chrysler Laser was an upscale rebadged version of the Daytona. Tommy Archer
Tommy Archer (born November 16, 1954) is an American professional racing driver. He has competed in International Motor Sports Association, Sports Car Club of America, Trans-Am Series, 24 Hours of Le Mans and National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing events. Racing career Archer started his racing career in ice racing, running Porsches borrowed from his father's car dealership. He later attempted the SCCA Runoffs, finishing second in 1980. Along with his brother Bobby, Archer won an IMSA championship in 1984. The duo also ran road races with Porsche Le Car entries throughout the 1980s. In 1986, they won the SCCA drivers' championship. Late in the 1980s, Archer also drove Jeeps in the SCCA truck series. In 1987, Archer qualified fastest in the GTO class of the 24 Hours of Daytona. Lime Rock Park is a natural-terrain motorsport road racing venue located in Lakeville, Connecticut, United States, a hamlet in the town of Salisbury, Connecticut, Salisbury, in the state's northwest corner.
