1993 SAARC Gold Cup
The 1993 SAARC Gold Cup was the 1st South Asian Football Federation Cup, held in Lahore, Pakistan (at Railway Stadium) between 16 July 1993 and 23 July 1993. The countries that competed in this tournament were India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Additionally, a Pakistan Junior team participated under the name of Pakistan White. However, their matches were not part of the tournament. This tournament was played as a league where the team which gets the highest points wins the competition. India won the tournament and became the first ever South Asian football champions. The 1995 SAARC Gold Cup, also known as Bristol SAARC Gold Cup for sponsorship reasons, was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka between 25 March and 2 April. Originally 6 teams participated in the competition, but Maldives national football team, Maldives withdrew from the competition. The event was sponsored by Ceylon Tobacco Company. Sri Lanka National Football Team

Muhammad Nauman Khan
Muhammad Nauman Khan (Urdu, Pashto: ; born 4 February 1968) is a Pakistani former footballer who played as a striker. A former captain of the national team, Nauman was the author of the last goal in the final against Maldives, which saw Pakistan retain their second title in the 1991 South Asian Games. He also captained Pakistan Army F.C., winning the National Football Championship title in 1993 and 1995. He also served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Pakistan Army. Early life Nauman was born on 4 February 1968, in Malakand Agency in Pakistan. He hailed from the Dheri Alladand village.
