However on 28 August 2024, Nauman along with 21 former officials faced a lifetime ban due to their alleged role in creating a parallel association and orchestrating a hostile takeover of the PFF offices three years ago, on 27 March 2021. The following month, Nauman was cleared after an appeal to the Pakistan Football Federation and was able to contest for the consequent provincial stage of the elections, where he eventually lost.
