Shah Alam Circuit
Shah Alam Circuit (حلبة شاه عالم) or Batu Tiga Speedway Circuit was a racing circuit in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The circuit layout was designed by Dutchman John Hugenholtz. History The circuit was opened in 1968. The 1968 Malaysian Grand Prix was held there on 8 September as a Formula Libre race and was won by Indonesian Hengkie Irawan driving an Elfin 600. The circuit was the venue for the Malaysian Grand Prix until 1982, with the starting field consisting alternately of vehicles from the Formula Atlantic, Formula Pacific or Formula 2. The last Malaysian Grand Prix race held in Shah Alam was held for Formula Brabham in 1995. The circuit was closed in 1977 after an accident that killed six children, although it later reopened after improvements of fences and guard rails around the track were carried out. Michael Rudroff (born 28 December 1960) is a German former professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. Rudolf competed in his first Grand Prix in 1987, and made one podium; coming third in the 1989 Nations Grand Prix. His career ranged from 1987 until 1996, where he started in 53 races, though he never started from pole position. Career Rudroff, riding a Honda bike, appeared in two Grand Prix in 1987, the West Germany Grand Prix and the Austrian Grand Prix where he qualified in positions 38 and 26 but did not compete in the final race. Lucio Pedercini (born September 22, 1972) is an Italian former professional Grand Prix motorcycle racer and current motorcycle racing team owner. Career Born in Volta Mantovana, he began racing in the Grand Prix world championships in 1992. He had his best season in 1996 when he finished in 17th place in the 500cc world championship final standings. Pedercini was Italian Superbike Champion in 2001 and 2002, riding a Ducati. He then competed in the World Superbike Championship from 1998 to 2006 with his best result being a 9th-place finish in the 2003 final standings. Sean Emmett (born 4 February 1970) is an English former professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. Racing career Born in Walton on Thames, Sean Emmett began his career in 1989 at Brands Hatch. John Stephen Reynolds (born 27 June 1963) is a British former professional motorcycle racer from Kimberley, Nottinghamshire, England. He won the British Superbike Championship in 1992, 2001 and 2004. Reynolds is an all-time great of BSB with his 37 career wins bettered only by Shane Byrne and Ryuichi Kiyonari. His 117 podiums is 2nd all time behind Byrne, what makes this mark impressive is Reynolds scored this in 202 starts. Cagiva is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer. It was founded in 1950 by Giovanni Castiglioni in Varese, originally producing small metal components. Giovanni's sons, Claudio and Gianfranco Castiglioni, went into the motorcycle industry in 1978.
