Henrik Gustafsson
Henrik Anders (Henka) Gustafsson (born 14 August 1970) is a Swedish former Motorcycle speedway rider. He won the 1993 World Pairs Championship with Tony Rickardsson and the Speedway World Team Cup in 1994 and 2000. He earned 50 caps for the Sweden national speedway team. Career Gustafsson, rode for Indianerna in the Swedish Elite League starting in 1986. Gustafsson rode in the first of his four Speedway World Finals in 1990, despite failing to qualify for the 1990 World Final in Bradford, England, he got a lucky break when he replaced the injured Dane Jan O. Pedersen. Supposed to be one who was "there for the experience" in his first World Final, Henka impressed many by finishing a surprise 6th in the final, winning two of his five rides. Philippe Bergé (born 20 June 1971 in Brive-la-Gaillarde) is a French former motorcycle speedway rider, who competed in Grasstrack, Longtrack and Speedway. He is a former champion of France and earned 3 caps for the France national speedway team. Speedway career Bergé came to prominence when he reached the final of the 1993 Individual Long Track World Championship, he then reached a second longtrack final the following year. He began his British league career riding for Oxford Cheetahs during the 1996 Premier League speedway season, he was signed midway through the season but still rode 14 times for the club. Gerd Riss (born 17 March 1965) is a German former speedway rider. He competed in motorcycle speedway and longtrack racing. He is an eight-times World longtrack champion. He also earned 22 international caps for the West German national speedway team and 12 international caps for the German national speedway team. Career Riss reached his first world longtrack final in 1984, finishing a creditable sixth behind Erik Gundersen, at the Sandbahn Rennen Herxheim in Herxheim bei Landau/Pfalz, Germany. He rode for MC Krumbach in 1983 and 1984 and started for the first time in the British leagues when he joined Poole Pirates for the 1984 British League season. Riss joined Wolverhampton Wolves in 1985 but left mid-way through the season. Paul Fry (speedway Rider)
Paul David Fry (25 October 1964 – 1 April 2010) was a motorcycle speedway rider from England. Career Fry made his debut with the Cradley Heathens in 1984 and rode for a number of clubs during his career. He won several team trophies including the British League Knockout Cup with Cradley Heath in 1986 and 1987. He joined Exeter Falcons in 1992 and spent five seasons with them. He won the Premier League Knockout Cup with the Swindon Robins in 2000. In 2003, he was part of the Swindon four that won the Premier League Four-Team Championship, which was held on 27 July 2003, at the Abbey Stadium. He won the same event again two years later in 2005, when he was part of the Somerset Rebels four who won the Championship, held on 20 August 2005, at Derwent Park. Mark Roysten Gregory Loram (born 12 January 1971) is a British former motorcycle speedway rider, who won the World Speedway Championship in 2000 and won the British Championship in 1997, 1999, and 2001. Bernd Diener (born 19 June 1959) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Germany. He competed in Speedway, Longtrack and Grasstrack and is a two times World longtrack team champion. Career Diener has twice been on the podium in the World Longtrack Championship 1996 & 2004. He became a team World longtrack team champion in 2008 and 2012 respectively. Diener won the European Grasstrack Championship in 1999. Diener won the German national longtrack championship in 2000 and went on to finish fifth in the World Championship that year. Tony Briggs (speedway Rider)
Tony Briggs (born 3 July 1967) is an Aboriginal Australian actor. He is best known for creating the stage play '' The Sapphires'' (later a 2012 film), which tells the true story of an Aboriginal singing girl group who toured Vietnam during the war. Briggs is also a former track and field athlete. Early life Tony Briggs was born on 3 July 1967. He is the son of Laurel Robinson, one of The Sapphires, and is a Yorta Yorta / Wurundjeri man. He attended Scotch College, Melbourne as a boarding student from 1980 to 1985, and proved to be an outstanding athlete there.
