Pirveli Liga
The Georgian Erovnuli Liga 2 ( ka, ეროვნული ლიგა 2; ), organized since 1990 by the GFF, serves as the second division of professional football in Georgia. The league was introduced for the 2017 season under the current name as a part of reorganization process of the entire league system. It was formerly known as Pirveli liga (the First league). Structure There are ten clubs competing in Erovnuli Liga 2. During the season each club plays each other four times, twice at home and twice away. At the end of each season the winner gains automatic promotion and the bottom club is relegated. The runner-up and 3rd placed team participate in two-legged home and away play-off matches against the 9th and 8th placed clubs of Erovnuli Liga, respectively. In case two or more teams obtain an equal number of points, final standings are determined by an aggregate of the results between them. Egrisi Senaki
FC Egrisi ( Georgian: საფეხბურთო კლუბი ეგრისი) is a Georgian association football club based in the town of Senaki. The club competes in Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of the national football system. The team has played one season in the top flight. History The club had different names in 1940–60s and as Spartaki, Gantiadi, Tsiskari and Kolkheti participated in the Georgian domestic league. In a most memorable event in 1970, they won the republican Cup competition. Since then, the football club has been competing under the current name. Egrisi played in Umaglesi Liga in the 1995–96 season, but they failed to retain their place in the league. The team has since been in low leagues with most of the seasons spent in the third division. Liga 3 ( ka, ლიგა 3), organized by the Georgian Football Federation, is the third division of professional football in Georgia. Introduced for the 2017 season with the launch of the Erovnuli Liga, it is a rebrand of the former Meore Liga (the Second League). The current holders are Gonio. Structure and league system There were 20 teams competing in the league in 2017. In 2019, when Liga 4 was formed, their number was reduced to ten, although after two seasons GFF decided to extend the league to 14 at the expense of two bottom teams from the previous season and two second-placed clubs from Liga 4 While and Red Groups. In 2022, the number of clubs was increased to 16. Seasons run based on Spring-Autumn system with each team playing an equal amount of home and away games against their league rivals. Football Club Chikhura Sachkhere, commonly known as Chikhura Sachkhere or simply Chikhura, is a Georgia (country), Georgian football (soccer), football club based in Sachkhere. Following the 2024 Liga 4 (Georgia), 2024 season, the club was relegated to Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of Football in Georgia (country), Georgian league system. FC Aragvi ( ka, საფეხბურთო კლუბი არაგვი) is a Georgian association football club. Following the 2024 season, the team was relegated to Liga 3, the third tier of Georgian football. Although registered in Dusheti, Aragvi have not played there since 2019, holding home matches in Mtskheta, Tbilisi and Sartichala instead. History Established in 1954, during the Soviet period Aragvi mainly participated in the East group of Georgian republican league 2. In the 2008–09 season, the team played in the Meore Liga.
