Copa Interamericana
The Copa Interamericana ( en, Interamerican Cup) was an annual club football competition contested between a representative from North America (CONCACAF) and South America ( CONMEBOL). Established in 1969, it was discontinued in 1998 after CONCACAF clubs, particularly those from Mexico, began participating in CONMEBOL competitions. The competition was intended to be contested between the winners of the North American CONCACAF Champions Cup and the South American Copa Libertadores tournaments, although the participants varied at times. The competition was usually contested over a two legged tie, with a playoff or penalty kicks if necessary. However, it was common for several consecutive editions to go unheld. Of the 18 competitions played out, four of them were contested over several matches in just one venue. Two others were held in a single match. José Yudica
José Antonio Yudica (February 26, 1936 – August 23, 2021) was an Argentine football player and manager. Yudica had limited success as a player, winning only two titles during his brief spell at Deportivo Cali. After retirement as a player he took up management, this is where he achieved his most notable successes, leading Quilmes to their first championship after 66 years, winning three Argentine league titles with three clubs (the first manager ever to achieve this), and leading Argentinos Juniors to success in the Copa Libertadores. Mario Hernán Videla (born 28 January 1962 in Mendoza) is a former Argentine footballer. He played for Argentinos Juniors during their golden era in the 1980s, he also won two league championships with Millonarios in Colombia. Videla started his professional career with Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza in the early 1980s. In 1982, he joined Argentinos Juniors shortly after the sale of Diego Maradona to Boca Juniors. During his time at the club, Argentinos enjoyed some remarkable successes, they won back to back league championships in the Metropolitano 1984 and the Nacional 1985. Sergio Daniel "Checho" Batista (; born 9 November 1962) is an Argentine football manager and former international player. As a footballer he played as a midfield for Argentinos Juniors, River Plate, Nueva Chicago, Tosu Futures and All Boys. He represented his national team 39 times from 1985 to 1990 where the team won the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Emilio Nicolás Commisso (born 5 November 1956 in Córdoba) is a former Argentine footballer. He played for a number of clubs in Argentina and Spain. Commisso started his professional career in 1976 with River Plate. During his seven years playing at the club, they won five league titles. Commisso played 218 league games for River, scoring 27 goals. Jorge Mario Olguín (born 17 May 1952 in Dolores, Buenos Aires) is a retired Argentine footballer who played as a defender. He is perhaps most famous for having been part of the 1978 World Cup winning team. Since his retirement as a player he has managed a number of football clubs. José Luis Pavoni (born 23 May 1954) is an Argentine football coach and former player. He won honours with all four of his club teams and represented the Argentina national football team at the 1975 Copa América. Playing career Pavoni started his professional career in 1973 at Newell's Old Boys in Rosario. Enrique Bernardo Vidallé (born 7 May 1952 in Canals, Córdoba) is a former Argentine football goalkeeper. He played for a number of clubs in Argentina and Palestino in Chile. Vidallé came through the Boca Juniors youth system to make his professional debut in 1972, he stayed at the club until his move to Chilean team Club Deportivo Palestino in 1975.
