	1979 Molde FK Season The 1979 season was Molde's 19th season in the second tier of Norwegian football and their first since their relegation from 1. divisjon in 1978. This season, Molde competed in 2. divisjon (second tier), promotion play-offs and the Norwegian Cup. In the league, Molde finished in 2nd position in 2. division group B, seven points behind winners Lyn and qualified for promotion play-offs. Molde won promotion to the 1980 1. divisjon after winning the play-offs 7–0 on aggregate against Pors. Molde participated in the 1979 Norwegian Cup. Molde reached the fourth round, where they were eliminated by Bryne. Molde lost the fourth round 0–4 on away ground. 	Åge Hareide Åge Fridtjof Hareide (born 23 September 1953) is a Norwegian football manager and player, currently managing Malmö FF as the interim manager. In his playing career, he played for Hødd and Molde in Norway as well as Manchester City and Norwich City in England. Hareide was capped 50 times playing for Norway. As a coach, Hareide has won league titles in all of the Scandinavian countries, In Sweden with Helsingborgs IF in 1999 and with Malmö FF in 2014, in Denmark with Brøndby in 2001–02 and in his native Norway with Rosenborg in 2003. Hareide was in charge of the Norway national team from 2003 to 2008. While at Malmö during his first time in charge at the club, he notably took the team to the modern-day UEFA Champions League group stages for the first two times in the club's history. 	SK Træff Sportsklubben Træff is a Norwegian sports club from Molde, Møre og Romsdal. It currently has sections for association football and team handball. The men's football team currently plays in the Norwegian Second Division, the third tier of the Norwegian football league system, after being promoted from the 2021 Norwegian Third Division. History Træff had a longer stint in the 2. divisjon before being relegated after the 2002 season. Also, in 2000 they had survived play-offs with 3. divisjon teams to avoid relegation. Once situated in the 3. divisjon, Træff became a top team. In 2003 they won their 3. divisjon group, but in the two-leg playoff they lost to Volda TI on penalties after 3–3 on aggregate. 	Rune Ulvestad Rune Ulvestad (born 28 March 1957) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. He played as a forward for Molde from 1978 to 1986. After his active career, Ulvestad has been coaching Herd. He is the father of the footballers Pål Erik, Fredrik and Dan Peter Ulvestad. Career After playing for Brattvåg IL, Ulvestad joined Molde FK ahead of the 1978-season, and was Molde's top goalscorer in 1981 and 1985.
