Johan Skjoldborg (27 April 1861 – 22 February 1936) was a Danish educator, novelist, playwright and memoirist. Biography Johan Martinus Nielsen Skjoldborg was born in the parish of Øsløs in Thisted in north Jutland, Denmark. Peter Georg Bang
Peter Georg Bang (7 October 1797 – 2 April 1861) was a Danish politician and jurist. He served as the Prime Minister of Denmark 1854–1856. Biography Bang was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. His parents were Jacob Hansen Bang (1770-1841) and Anna Cathrine Sophie Østrup (1779-1820). He became a student at Frederiksborg Latin School in 1813, took lic.jur. in 1816 and obtained Dr. Jur. in 1820. He was a professor of Roman law at the University of Copenhagen and from 1836 to 1845 he was director of Danmarks Nationalbank. In 1845 when he was appointed Deputy in National Treasury (''Rentekammeret''). His daughter, Ville Bang (1848–1932), became a recognized painter and art teacher. Rasmus Andersen
Rasmus Morten Andersen (25 September 1861 – 28 February 1930) was a Danish sculptor. He is mainly known for his naturalistic portraits. Early life and education Rasmus Andersen was born at Ørting, near Horsens, the son of Niels Andersen and Johanne Mortensdatter Andersen. He trained as a wood carver. He attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1877 to 1884 and trained to become a sculptor at Wilhelm Bissen's studio. Career Andersen had his debut at the Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition in 1882. He won the Academy's small gold medal for the relief ''Eumaios'' in 1884. He participated in the World's Columbian Exposition in 1893 as well as a number of major Danish exhibitions. Throughout his career, he specialized in portraits, both in the form of statues, busts and medallions. Niels Hansen Jacobsen
Niels Hansen Jacobsen (September 10, 1861 – November 26, 1941) was a Danish sculptor and ceramist. He is most famous for creating the once controversial sculpture, ''Trold, der vejrer kristenblod''. The name of the statue is taken from a story in Norse folklore where the hero hides in the troll's castle. Thereafter, whenever the troll enters the castle, he cries: "I smell a Christian man's blood!" Biography Niels Hansen Jacobsen was born and grew up on a farm in Vejen. He was the son of Carl Peter Jacobsen (1819-1903) and Anna Kirstine Hansen (1822–91). He attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen between the years 1884-1888. At the Academy of Art, he received drawing lessons from Frederik Vermehren and Carl Bloch, while the sculptor Theobald Stein taught anatomy and Vilhelm Bissen in modeling.
