15th Kerala Assembly

Malayalam

Official Opposition (India)
In India, Official Opposition designates largest party not supporting the ruling cabinet in the Parliament of India or a State legislative assemblies of India, State or Territory Legislative Assembly. To get formal recognition in either Upper house, upper or lower houses, the opposition party must have at least Quorum#India, 10% of the total strength of the house. Role The Opposition's main role is to question the government of the day and hold them accountable to the public. This also helps to fix the mistakes of the Ruling Party. Kasaragod District
Kasaragod ( (, , ; English: ''Kassergode'') is one of the 14 districts in the southern Indian state of Kerala. Its northern border Thalappady is located just 9 km south to Ullal, which is the southernmost portion of the major port city Mangalore, on the southwestern Malabar coast of India. Kerala Congress (M)
Kerala Congress (Mani) or KEC(M) is a state-level political party in the Indian state of Kerala, currently led by chairman Jose K. Mani. It was formed by K. M. Mani in 1979, after a split from the Kerala Congress. They are part of the LDF since October 2020. History Kerala Congress (M) was formed in 1979 after a split in Kerala Congress party. After a series of splits and mergers, Kerala Congress faction of P. J. Joseph merged with Kerala Congress(M). It split again when some leaders including Francis George, Dr. K. C. Niyamasabha Mandiram
The Niyamasabha Mandiram, located in Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram, is the seat of the Kerala State Legislative Assembly or the Niyamasabha. Built primarily in the classical style of Architecture of Kerala, with strong influences of many contemporary styles, it is a structure with grand staircase, gardens, water bodies and a large Central Assembly Hall. 2021 Kerala Legislative Assembly Election
The 2021 Kerala Legislative Assembly election was held in Kerala on 6 April 2021 to elect 140 Member of the Legislative Assembly (India), members to the 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly. The results were declared on 2 May. The election saw the incumbent Left Democratic Front (Kerala), Left Democratic Front (LDF) retaining power with 99 seats, 8 more than in the 2016 Kerala Legislative Assembly election, previous election, marking the first time that an alliance won consecutive terms in the state since its 1977 Kerala Legislative Assembly election, 1977 election. The United Democratic Front (Kerala), United Democratic Front (UDF) won the remaining 41 seats, 6 less than in the previous election.
