Ramzan Kadyrov
Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov (born 5 October 1976) is a Russian politician and current head of the Chechen Republic. He was formerly affiliated with the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Chechen independence movement, through his father who was the separatist-appointed mufti of Chechnya. He is a colonel general in the Russian military. Kadyrov is the son of former Chechen president Akhmad Kadyrov, who switched sides in the Second Chechen War by offering his service to Vladimir Putin's administration in Russia and became Chechen president in 2003. Siege Of Mariupol
The siege of Mariupol began on 24 February 2022 and lasted until 20 May, as part of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Magomed Salaudinovich Tushayev (; born 23 February 1986) is a Russian Colonel and advisor to the Head of the Chechen Republic. He was a commander of the 141st Special Motorized Regiment. Tushayev is part of a group who terrorized LGBT people in Chechnya. This included the kidnapping and torture of dozens of men who were suspected to be gay. These acts have been called Chechnya's "anti-gay purge". In 2022, he was claimed to have been killed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
