Žiarislav
Miroslav Žiarislav Švický (born in 1967), best known as Žiarislav, is a Slovak musician, writer and organiser within modern Slavic paganism. He writes and performs music inspired by Slovak folk music. He has written books about Slavic spirit and is the founder and leader of the modern pagan organisation Rodný kruh (). Early life and education Miroslav Žiarislav Švický was born in 1967. He was trained as a geologist and lived in Bratislava and Trnava where he wrote for the newspaper ''Zmena'' and "Smena". He began to write books on spirituality and ended his journalist career to be a farmer and musician. Slavic paganism Švický is active in modern Slavic paganism in Slovakia as a teacher, writer and keeper of traditions and calendars. Modern Pagan Music
Modern pagan music or neopagan music is music created for or influenced by modern Paganism. Music produced in the interwar period include efforts from the Latvian Dievturība movement and the Norwegian composer Geirr Tveitt. The counterculture of the 1960s established British folk revival and world music as influences for American neopagan music. Second-wave feminism created women's music which includes influences from feminist versions of neopaganism. The United States also produced Moondog, a Heathenry (new religious movement), Norse neopagan street musician and composer. The postwar neopagan organisations Ásatrúarfélagið in Iceland and Romuva (religion), Romuva in Lithuania have been led by musicians. Several subgenres of rock music have been combined with neopaganism. Slavic Native Faith
The Slavic Native Faith, commonly known as Rodnovery and sometimes as Slavic Neopaganism, is a modern Paganism, modern Pagan religion. Classified as a new religious movement, its practitioners hearken back to the Slavic paganism, historical belief systems of the Slavs, Slavic peoples of Central and Eastern Europe, though the movement is inclusive of external influences and hosts a variety of currents. "Rodnovery" is a widely accepted self-descriptor within the community, although there are Rodnover organisations which further characterise the religion as Vedism, Orthodoxy, and Old Believers, Old Belief. Many Rodnovers regard their religion as a faithful continuation of the ancient beliefs that survived as a folk religion or a conscious "double belief" following the Christianisation of the Slavs in the Middle Ages.
